Can Jezebel's Witchcraft Really Make You Sick? by Jennifer LeClaire

When I was writing my first book on Jezebel, I got sick six times in the course of a year. Yes, six times! I was hardly over one cold or flu before I got another cold or flu. This was especially unusual since I hadn't had as much as a sniffle in the five years before.

Essentially, I was battling a cycle of infirmity-which I overcame. I'm battling another cycle of infirmity right now and I know others who are facing similar attacks so I thought it wise to dust off the understanding of witchcraft's connection to infirmity so are not ignorant to the devil's devices (see 2 Cor. 2:11). You can read more about Jezebel's tactics in my latest book: Jezebel's Puppets.

In this season of ministry, many times when I do a call an altar call for healing the Holy Spirit shows me to break the powers of witchcraft of people's minds before praying over the infirmity that's attacking their bodies. After this happened a few times, I decided to press in to discern the spiritual connection..

The Holy Spirit showed me that many times witchcraft against your mind can cause you to focus so much on the symptoms attacking your body that you can't extend your faith to receive God's healing power. In other words, if you aren't careful, when witchcraft attacks your mind you will wind up speaking and thinking about the infirmity rather than speaking and thinking about your healing, allowing the enemy to maintain the stronghold.

But Can Witchcraft Cause Sickness?

The Bible talks about Jezebel and her witchcrafts in 2 Kings 9:22. I believe infirmities are part of Jezebel's witchcrafts. Witchcraft is a spiritual force, one of the powers listed in Ephesians 6, that the enemy uses to attack us.

The word for witchcraft in 2 Kings 9:22 comes from the Hebrew "kesheph." It means sorcery and witchcraft. Merriam-Webster defines witchcraft as "the use of sorcery or magic, communication with a familiar." Sorcery is defined as "the use of magical powers that are obtained through evil spirits." The Queen Jezebel in the Old Testament was influenced by the spirit we call Jezebel today. She was practicing witchcraft-sorcery-against her enemies.

Sometimes Jezebel accomplished her wicked agenda with ungodly fasting, as in the case when she usurped Ahab's authority, wrote a letter of lies and got Naboth killed. Other times, Jezebel literally had her enemies murdered, like the true prophets of Jehovah who would not eat at her table. Still other times, she released word curses that sent people into fear and depression, as she did with Elijah after the showdown at Mount Carmel.

How Does This Literally Work?

I believe people can release witchcraft word curses against you. I more than believe it, I know it because my inbox is full of them every week. People curse me, my family, my ministry and more with the wicked words of their mouth-most of the times these are Christians.

A witchcraft word curse from a Christian, I believe, is more powerful than any curse from a witch because a believer's words carry an anointing. We're supposed to break yokes with our words but I believe we can release yokes of sickness with words like, "You're going to get sick if you don't slow down," or "Your mother has all of these autoimmune diseases and that's your future" or "God didn't really heal him from that disease. It was just in remission and now it's manifesting again."

Of course, these witchcraft curses don't have to come through Christians. The power of death and life are in every created human being's mouth. Doctors can release word curses over you while trying to offer a diagnosis. And, yes, witches can release negative thought forms and curses against you. (Read my recent article about thought curses.) I knew one brother who was cursed by a well-known prophet in Africa and turned up with rashes all over his body until the curses were finally broken.

Taking Authority Over Jezebel's Infirmities

What's a believer to do? When it comes to witchcraft, we have to withstand it. The Amplified Bible says to "be firm in faith [against his onset-rooted, established, strong, immovable, and determined]" (1 Pet. 5:9). It's easy enough to give in to witchcraft, especially if you don't know what is attacking you.

So if you feel like giving up, when you feel tired for no reason, when you have strong confusion, when you are fighting an intense battle in your mind and when infirmities are manifesting, it could be witchcraft-and it could lead you to the doorstep of infirmity. Resist it at its onset. Cast it off. Submit yourself to God. "Resist the devil [stand firm against him], and he will flee from you"
(James 4:7, AMP).

Thank Jesus for His blood and plead it over yourself. Rejoice in the Lord. Praise and worship carry breakthrough. That's often all it takes to change the spiritual climate in your home. And worship is where we should start because He is worthy of our adoration.

Take authority over the witchcraft in the name above all names. But before you do, make sure you don't have any common ground with the enemy. Repent for any rebellion in your heart, and surrender your will anew to God. [Bitterness and unforgiveness are open doors as well as generational sins i.e. When I got ill the Lord showed Pastor Ifchu  Amankor in Nigeria that there was a crack in my foundation, (that was a new to me for the Lord had not taught me on foundations back then) and I instantly knew the Jezebel spirit in my family bloodline was the crack] Remember, we are more than conquerors in Christ, and no weapon formed against us can prosper-not even witchcraft. Our job is to be spiritually discerning enough to catch the devil at his onset, resist him, rebuke him and praise God for the victory. Sometimes the battle is fiercer and longer than we would like to endure but we will win if we don't quit. Amen.

Not A Stream, Not A River, But A Flood Of God’s Favor! by Dana Jarvis

The Lord gave me a dream last night. In this dream I looked out a window and I saw a flood coming down the street. It was flowing steadily and quickly as I watched it. A couple minutes later, I looked out the window again to see where the flood waters were which I was now expecting it to have covered everything in sight, but the water was gone just as suddenly as it came. I pondered this dream much of the morning until the Lord revealed to me the meaning and the Word he has for you this morning.
Conditions are ripe for flooding. Just as water gets out of its normal boundaries, as it overflows and increases in such a way that the small streams and bayous become so overwhelmed. I hear the Lord say, “There is about to be a flood in your life, not with water, but You are going to see a flood of My goodness. You shall see opportunity, healing, breakthroughs, to where you are overwhelmed with My favor. It will rise and increase beyond your expectations and immediately put you into overflow!”
David likened God’s power to a flood. He was saying when God shows up, it’s going to be like a flood of favor, strength, good breaks. Think of how powerful the water is in a flood. Three to four feet of water sweeping homes and vehicles away in its current. Nothing can stop the force of that water. Well the Lord is getting ready to burst through like a raging flood onto the scene of your situation. You may have obstacles that look impossible to overcome, dreams that look unattainable, but when God releases a flood of His power, nothing will be able to stop you. Sickness will not stand a chance in the face of this flood, opportunities will seek you out, divine favor shall be released in every area of your life. The tidal wave he is releasing is not only going to bring you out, but bring you out even better than you were before. All through the day, when you’re tempted to worry and find yourself frustrated, switch over into faith and say, “Lord, thank You for a flood of Your favor. God, I know I am in the palm of Your hand. Lord, I just wanna thank You in advance that You are releasing a flood of Your power that will suddenly turn this around.”
Get ready, not for a trickle, or a stream, or a river, but a flood of God’s favor, a tidal wave of God’s goodness, a tsunami of His increase. God is going to take you to a level that you have never been before. It’s going to be unprecedented. Just as the part in my dream where the flood waters so quickly were gone. I hear the Lord say for you, “It is just a matter of time before it shows up. When it does, You are going to go further quicker than you have ever dreamed. Just as the flood waters dissipated so quickly, that is how quick it shall be!”
I see some of you right now in my Spirit that will be just like David. When the Lord bursts through like a raging flood, I can hear your shouts right now. God did it! God did it! Everything I been waiting for and praying for and standing in that gap for! God Did It!!

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS

Circumstances and changes in your life have left you feeling a little unstable and unsure of where you are.  However, if you will examine your current position, you will see that you are actually much better off than you think.  What you had to do was inevitable and vital to spiritual advancement, says the Lord.  Continue your upward climb and be thankful.  Philippians 4:6-7  Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

"You're Going To Make It!" by Lonnie Mackley

I just felt led to encourage many of you today who have been waiting on the Lord for breakthrough, healing, deliverance, finances, and direction. It is coming, and it is about to happen! God has just been putting some finishing touches on you in order to make sure you are truly ready inside and out. What you are about to begin is much bigger than you think, so there cannot be one stone unturned as you go forward, otherwise it will be exploited by the devil to either slow you down, or stop you in your tracks once things start really moving. God does this not only so you will be healthy up ahead, but He also wants to heal you from some things that have hindered and plagued you all of your life.
One of the big areas the Lord is working on right now is self-forgiveness and unresolved shame and guilt from the past thinking that you should have made better and different decisions. Guess what; life is a series of choices that we make, and sometimes you will have to make hard choices in order to follow God’s call that are going to hurt you and others, and you’ll just have to live with the fact that you did what was right even though you look bad and have to take a big loss for it. Beating yourself up over what God told you to do is pointless, and like Abraham sending Ishmael away, there was no way that you could do anything different. You had to do what you had to do, so forgive yourself now!
Another area that has to be resolved is failure in the past because of sin-choices. Some of you have had problems that have been there since you were a toddler, and these things got there because of trauma and evil spirits that have been passed down through your family line onto you. This is not to excuse our sinful behavior, but it is to acknowledge that we are all sinners in need of Jesus’ grace and sanctification through His word and Spirit. The Holy Spirit has been working to set you free with the truth of God’s word and His grace, so let these old sins go now and do not return to them. Then let yourself off the hook and be at peace. It’s time to fully accept yourself, and let go of past failures.
Lastly, understand that when God’s power for miracles begins to flow, many enemies will rise up to oppose you. God is doing all of this to help you to stand for now and eternity. He wants you to stand and stay standing when the mega-warfare hits. You have been pregnant with God’s promises; and once someone is pregnant, the baby always comes eventually, and oftentimes will come when you least expect it or feel ready for it. Your spiritual baby is about to come, and this intense transition is about to transition into full blown empowered harvest. This dead-zone you are in is going to change instantly and abruptly very soon, so just know that God is at work, and that you’re going to make it!
ISA 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

"An Open Letter from Lou Engle to African American Pastors" by Lou Engle

Pasadena, CA

Steve ShultzTo African American pastors and leaders,
I humbly submit this letter for your gracious consideration. Over the last six months I have been greatly provoked by the loving challenges of my brother, Fred Berry, with whom I previously had a falling out. This happened in 2008 when I sent a letter to 50 African American Pastors and leaders challenging their support for now President Obama in light of his stance on abortion. In my fervor, I spoke in a manner that I now realize was both insensitive and proud.
For 20+ years, I have felt burdened to both intercede for revival and pray for the turning of America back to God. Together, Jesus called His Church the salt and light of the earth, so overturning abortion has been a clear focus of my prayers. I still seek this because I do not see abortion as primarily a political issue dividing Democrats and Republicans, but a moral issue which the righteous must undertake. However, in my passion for the cause, I believe my zeal overshot my wisdom. I missed the heart of love.
I have been on a learning journey. It began in 2004 when I and 70 young people prayer-walked the infamous 750 mile Trail of Tears by which the native peoples were forcibly removed from their lands to Oklahoma. We felt the Lord was telling us that we could not deal with the issue of abortion unless we had first walked in the sandals of Native Americans to better understand their suffering and pain. The Lord was instructing me in a principle. Again, prior to TheCall Detroit I lived in a shuttered elementary school in that broken city, fasting for 40 days with my Hispanic and African American brothers and sisters. I glimpsed the difficult realities of inner city life and began to touch more of the pain and promise of the African American story. Then in 2014, prior to TheCall Berkley, the Lord spoke to me that I should reconcile with Fred Berry of the Azusa Street Mission, one of the recipients of the original 50 letters. Fred had previously tried to reconcile with me. Sadly, I did not immediately respond. When I finally called him, we were joyfully reconciled. It was so good. From this reconciliation Azusa Now 2016 was born.
I now feel deeply that the Body of Christ must unite first and foremost around the Lord Jesus and the power of the Gospel to transform lives. Obviously Biblical standards help inform our unity. But in 2008, I spoke in ultimatums, not friendship; in unintended presumption, rather than humility. I realize that I need to walk in the shoes of the African American community if I am to understand their story. To the degree that I mobilized parts of Christ's Body in such a manner that left others feeling uninvited or unheard at the table of fellowship, I would like to confess my failure in speaking beyond our sphere of relationship together. It is easy to speak as Job's counselors without having walked in the suffering of Job.
With whatever measure of influence I possess in the fellowship of the saints, I beg the forgiveness of my African American brothers and sisters. I am moving forward in a different spirit, one with no less clarity and conviction on abortion, but with my personal code also wedded to humility, dialogue and partnership. I am convinced that the Lord is shouting to His Body that the time for John 17 is now. We must be one as He and the Father are one. I am afraid for our nation if we don't get this right and I beg your mercy and grace toward me and to the whole Body of Christ as we work out the great challenges of our day amidst an increasingly fractious culture.
In 2008 I feel like I lost many dear African American brothers and sisters due to my insensitivity. The Holy Spirit has gripped me with a desire to walk in unity so that we can believe together, with all God's family, for a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Of this I am convinced. Love conquers all. Jesus is Lord. And now, more than ever, only a united Church can heal a divided nation.
Thank you,

Truth – The Source of Life by Clay Sikes

All who know me know I have faced ups and downs in both personal and professional aspects of life. All we have when a crisis has ended is our conduct during it. Crisis is quite revealing. My failures have provided an exposure of me to me, and occasionally others. Failure does not necessarily make or break anyone, but it surely does reveal us to ourselves. Failure, if it can be survived, builds character (James 1:2-4).
Failure comes in many forms, shapes, and sizes – can range from personal to professional, small to large, intimate to very public; but in any case, we all have failures. This little article addresses the hard truth that some of our failures can reveal if truth is our objective.
I can honestly say for me, far more is learned in failure than ever in success. Why? Because, as a human, I am very capable of having the wrong perspective, often selfish and self serving, and limited to my view only. In the early immature years of self analysis, I would automatically assume ‘my view’ to be right, and in many cases I was as wrong as a duck with lips. I could see through my eyes only.
In later more mature times, I learned that not to be the case in every case. In any case, failure and conflict are beautiful opportunities to self examine by asking and answering hard questions of yourself. If TRUTH is the real objective, God has a way of helping us find it, even when it hurts terribly bad! He has a way of revealing us to ourselves, to forgiving ourselves and others – no human has that capability! What an event the Cross was!
The one thing I constantly sought, even dating back into childhood was truth. I wanted truth, but had no clue what I really wanted. JESUS, who is the ultimate truth, was knocking on my door but I wasn’t interested! Yet later I learned, THERE IS NO REAL LIFE WITHOUT TRUTH, AND ONLY DEATH WITH WHAT IS OBTAINED BY A LIE! Test that statement! There is no real life on this planet without truth ruling our lives. Truth buried is a substitute for real life!
Interestingly, I am finding Jesus in much more than I ever knew in my early days as a Christian. I am finding that seeming setbacks are often prerequisites for setups: a necessary repositioning of attitude or physical structure necessary for a larger component of events than what existed in the previous structure (His Kingdom Order).
The following statement is true in both the natural and spiritual world: It’s truth resonates in the natural (knowledge) and supernatural (revelation) – ANYTHING GROWING WILL CHANGE. This is true whether it is revelation of Christs’ love, whether a growing pubescent teenager, whether an emerging technology, whether a major corporation or business, whether an individual on a new journey of faith, communities, relationships, marriages, etc., GROWTH REQUIRES CHANGE, JUST AS STAGNANCY INITIATES DEATH.
Engrafting and pruning are signs of growth as they reflect change. Engrafting is the natural phenomenon of addition that comes about as a result of “seeking first the Kingdom, and seeing ALL THINGS ADDED.” Pruning is often a natural and necessary phenomenon in which the least productive parts are cut away, such that the remaining lifeblood can be supplied to the parts that are productive. Painful pruning occurs just before great growth occurs.
The setbacks of conflict and failure can be, and often are, prerequisites for growth. This almost foreign concept could get me stoned around a group of intellectuals (and I’m talking “Stephen stoned, not Colorado stoned here.”) Arthur Burt, a wise man who died at 102 years of age, stated, “God allows in His wisdom what He could have prevented in His power.” This was a statement directed at my personal life because he knew my walk – words that prepared me for hardships and difficulties that were eventually used to set me into growth patterns. The knowledge that these difficulties were NOT designed for my defeat, but rather my strengthening has been a measure of TRUTH that produced life where there easily could have been death.
It is this type TRUTH that I will seek until the day I leave this earth.

Facing Trials? Face Your KING! by Judy A Bauman

The Vision
This past Sunday, the prayer team was interceding prior to the morning service. The Holy Spirit showed one of the elders many people in the church (globally) who are fighting battles; however, in facing their battles, they had unwittingly turned their backs to God!

Reflections:
If we will turn and face God, bow down and worship Him, the Lord will battle our enemy for us. Consider Psalms 24:7-8:

Lift up your heads, O you gates!
And be lifted up, you everlasting doors!
And the King of glory shall come in.
Who is this King of glory?
The LORD strong and mighty,
The LORD mighty in battle.

As a whole, we must stop looking (with our eye and ear gates) to the world and its system to be our safety net, and lift our heads! Our God desires our attention and affection. He wants us to rely on Him and not what help we can get from some program. The government did not die on the cross for my sins or yours. It is by Jesus’ stripes that we are healed and not by our insurance plan.

Paul lived in one of the most brutal governments of all time. Remember, on either side of Jesus, two robbers were also crucified. If you saw the movie, Passion of the Christ,1 you saw a clear depiction of what public execution looked like in the Roman Empire. Paul wrote Timothy and exhorted him to pray for those in authority. 2 Given the wickedness and corruption throughout the Roman Empire in their day, I ask, what is our excuse for not praying for our government (church, work, community) leaders? We have none because the word of God is clear on the matter.

The Bible tells us that Jesus is not slow in His coming, as some think, but the Lord wants none to perish and all to come to repentance.3 The Father of lights wants all to be saved! (Yes, that means your enemies too.) No matter how wicked we think someone is, Jesus shed His prefect, sinless blood for that person – just like He did for you.4 This is why we are admonished in and after the Lord’s prayer to forgive as we have been forgive.5 We want mercy from God – right? Of course we do! Jesus told us that if we are merciful, we shall receive mercy. 6

We all want God to show us mercy, so we have to stop extending our fingeroutward at what all the government is doing wrong (I know they often make it as easy as shooting fish in a barrel), and start obeying the precepts of our Father and King – the King of kings. I hope we pray for our leaders as we would our loved ones. I pray we turn and face Jesus, our King and keep our focus on the One and Only who is our Ever-present-help-in-times-of-trouble!

In the Father’s love,
