Get Ready By Wanda Alger

Many changes are coming upon this nation in the next few months and it will get darker before My glory comes in fullness. But, do not be alarmed for we have been preparing for this time for many ages. I have been preparing the hosts of heaven and we are ready to do what must be done, what HAS to be done in order for my kingdom to be fully manifested. All preparations have been made. Get ready.
The enemy has also been waiting. This is a season of revealing, not only of My intentions for you, but his. He is now, and has always been, jealous for my glory. Since the beginning of time he has coveted my glory and will not stand down until he manifests his fullest display of power and control. He wants to be seen and seeks to draw attention to himself. He has yet to unleash his fullest fury upon the earth, but do not be distracted by his temper tantrums.  His fits may be intense but My hand is stronger and he will soon be subdued. You must not fear nor back down. Now is the time to stand. Now is the time to DECLARE MY KINGDOM COME AND MY WILL TO BE DONE.
You MUST discern by the Spirit and not by your natural mind, intellect, or past experience. The things that will take place must be seen in the Spirit in order to know how to respond. Many will miss my working. Many are already blinded by deception and a lack of truth. To those without the Spirit, things are foolish and make no sense. If you search deeply and look to the roots, you will see what I am doing and why. Greater tests will come and there will be those who will not choose wisely. Seek My Truth together from heaven’s perspective and see what I am planning.
Do not fight that which heaven alone can battle. The principalities over this nation will only be displaced when the body of Christ stands together as one. The demonic hedge of protection around Hillary can only be removed through your unified prayers and agreement in the spirit. It is not numbers alone, but the state of your hearts that will make the difference. The witchcraft at work over the land is deep and has been established through covenant agreements. In like manner, it is the covenant relationships and agreements in prayer from My sons and daughters that can overturn these wicked agreements. It starts in the home and works outwards. Do not yield to retaliation or disputes which only divide. Yours is to stand together and praise Me. It is the absolute confidence you have in Me that will pave the way for Me to do what must be done. Things are being shaken and will be shaken even more. Regardless of what you hear the world say, know that I WILL have my way and though man makes many plans, I Alone play the final hand.
I am turning over every rock and opening every closet door to reveal hidden sin and corruption. NO ONE is exempt from my purging fire! Even those who appear righteous will have to answer for their secret sins and corrupt hearts. However, do not look at the sin, rather look for their response to it.I look for those whose hearts are pliable and willing to change. Pursue repentance and a softened heart to adjust to My ways and methods. Those whom I will use in this next season are those who are willing to change and follow Me. Your strength comes from your security in ME and the Truth I represent. As you rest in My truth, so shall your heart rest secure.
Not everything is as it seems. Appearances are deceptive and Leviathan is twisting words and actions to seize control and work dissension. Communications are being distorted. Keep your channel to Me open and clear. Don’t be surprised as my working will not be what you have learned to expect.The demonstration of my kingdom that is about to come has NEVER BEFORE been seen. Do not miss it by trying to explain it or defend it. Just draw close to me and walk in the Spirit.
Much will happen this spring and summer. Get ready. Though everything around you may be shaken, I am Unshakable! Though the enemy will do all he can to overturn my plans, he will not succeed. Continue to watch. Encourage one another and learn to honor one another. Love overcomes a multitude of sins.

“Multitudes, multitudes, in the valley of decision! For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision. The sun and the moon are darkened, and the stars withdraw their shining. The Lord roars from Zion, and utters His voice from Jerusalem, and the heavens and the earth quake. But the Lord is a refuge to His people, a stronghold to the people of Israel.” (Joel 3:14-16 ESV) 

It’s a Covenant Issue by Wanda Alger

This is a new season that requires a new perspective and new strategy. I believe the Lord is asking believers to “reset” their hearts and minds in order to properly interpret what is happening around them. There are dark forces at work in the root system of this nation due to unholy alliances and covenants between individuals who seek power and control. These are anti-Christ alliances that have been at work for decades slowly infiltrating our collective mindsets causing widespread deception and unbelief. Though we have rampant immorality in the land, the major problem in this nation is not a morality issue, but a covenant issue.

Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments. (Deuteronomy 7:9)

God is looking for believers who are free from control and manipulation in order to pray effectively and discern rightly. If we want to walk in the Truth and rightly distinguish between what is of the Spirit, the flesh, or the Devil, we must clear our own hearts of any ungodly alliance, covenant, or soul tie that would hinder our ability to perceive correctly.
Just as we can have soul ties with individuals (Proverbs 22:24-25), so we can have soul ties with organizations, denominations, genders, races, even ideologies that are no longer applicable (see Scriptures below). Some of these alliances may not even be “bad”, yet if we depend upon them for security, reputation, or identity, we must free ourselves from their hold on us. Even good causes can become idols in our lives if we let their influence become greater than the current working of the Holy Spirit. Much of the lack of discernment in the body of Christ right now is because of these types of alliances (agreements), both in mind and spirit, that are keeping many in the dark.
To be specific: if you have pledged allegiance to a certain denomination, the enemy can use that to blind you to any other expression of truth. If you are bound to a particular political party (because of family history or lifelong record) the enemy can use that to limit your ability to see any other perspective. You can also be bound to social issues that keep you so focused on one idea that you are not free to see anything else (abortion, racial justice, sexuality, etc.). Causes are not necessarily “wrong”, but they can have a hold on us.  If we are not able to adjust to a new perspective because of past affiliations, agreements, or alliances, we are bound and have limited spiritual perception as well as limited spiritual authority in prayer. Until these unhealthy agreements are broken, God’s blessing cannot come.

For when Solomon was old, his wives turned his heart away after other gods; and his heart was not wholly devoted to the LORD his God, as the heart of David his father had been (I Kings 11:4).

Make sure there is no man or woman, clan or tribe among you today whose heart turns away from the Lord our God to go and worship the gods of those nations; make sure there is no root among you that produces such bitter poison. When such a person hears the words of this oath and they invoke a blessing on themselves, thinking, “I will be safe, even though I persist in going my own way,” they will bring disaster on the watered land as well as the dry. (Deuteronomy 29:18-19) 

God blesses covenant relationships where parties are walking in obedience to His Word and submitted to His Spirit. Any covenant or alliance that puts the influence of others over and above the Holy Spirit will not only block God’s favor and blessing but also work against it and blind us to His Truth. This is true on a personal level and it is now being played out on the national level.
Here are some prayer points with Scripture that address this issue. Pray these over yourself as well as the nation so that we, as believers, will be truly free to have the mind of Christ, the heart of the Father, and a heavenly, eternal perspective on the days we live in. Renounce any unholy alliance or mindset and declare your allegiance to the Lord Jesus and the Spirit of Truth.
Ask the Lord to help us…

• Break free of any relationship that yokes us to an unbelieving spirit or idolatry. (2 Corinthians 6:14-18)
• Break free of media mind-control by setting our hearts on Truth and seeking out wisdom. (Psalm 1:1)
• Break free from foolish talk and endless controversies that lead to strife. (2 timothy 2:23-26)
• Break free from divisive people who are not teachable. (Titus 3:9-10)
• Break free from unhealthy familial allegiances that block our ability to hear and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. (1 Samuel 3:13; Matthew 10:37)
• Break free from influences that seek to lead us away from freedom and into law. (Galatians 2:3-5; 3:1)
• Break free of past vows to any organization, denomination, cause, or people group that binds up our ability to hear and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. (Numbers 30:2; Deuteronomy 23:22; Ecc. 5:6)
• Break free of ungodly mindsets that pull us into pride, greed, fleshly ambition, and personal gain. (Galatians 5:19-20)
• Break free of words spoken that bind us to the past such as “I’ll never…”; “I’ll always…”; “I won’t ever…”, etc. (Mark 7:11-13)
• Break free from any unbelief regarding what God is able to do on our behalf. (Hebrews 3:12-19)
• Break free from any favoritism towards a particular group or ideology that limits God’s full wisdom. (James 3:17)

Declare that we would love the Lord God with all our hearts, minds, souls, and strength and that no other force of our flesh or this world would draw us away from our full devotion to Him, alone.

Teach me your way, O LORD, and I will walk in your truth; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name. (Psalm 86:11 NIV)

Stand Down! Look for My Favor by Wanda Alger

Stand down! I am asking those who are calling on my Name in this nation’s process to stand down in your zeal to defend Me. I need no defense. I need no help. I need you to humble yourselves and allow Me to do what only I can do. I have already been at work, placing My favor on those whom I call and appoint in this hour. If you have eyes to see and ears to hear, you need only watch and see where My favor is moving. Let Me finish what I have started!
The Spirit of Control is deep at work in this nation and the forces of darkness permeate the land. Do not allow yourselves to be caught up in this same spirit by trying to control My ways. Do not allow fear of what might happen to influence your prayers, but rest in My ability to have My way. I have not asked you to campaign, nor have I asked you to make a choice. I have already made My choice and all you need is to watch, pray, and follow My lead.
There is a supernatural force to My favor that will cause things to happen apart from any intervention of man. It is My joy to do this as many have prayed and humbled themselves in seeking My face. Do not turn from this posture at this late hour and divide yourselves through arguments and comparisons. The enemy feeds off of this divisiveness and you must guard your hearts and your words.
I ask you to stand together and watch. Stand in agreement before the throne of grace and allow My favor to come in like a flood to reveal My purposes and My choice. I, alone, know what is in the heart and I know who I can use in this hour. Do not judge the clay that the Potter has been forming for I, alone, know whose heart is pliable in this hour.
You are looking at the measure of humility in a man, but I am looking at the measure of humility in my people.  Yield the right to be right. Yield the control of even your prayers that may seek to manipulate My will out of fear. Simply allow Me to do what only I can do and rejoice. Let go of personal preferences and your current understanding of what will work. I am doing something new. Do not look to the past for what worked. This is a new season and I am preparing the way for a new work in this nation. You cannot judge by the outer appearance, but must discern by the Spirit where I am working and who I am blessing. Learn what My favor looks like and acts like and yield to it.
Do not let offense harden your heart or build walls between you. Do not let the enemy have his way by standing divided.  Stand down in your fight, seek My face together and allow Me to show you My choice. When the time comes, you will know what to do if you but watch and remain pliable in my hands.
The world is watching you. Let them see the unity of those who claim My Name as you yield all control to Me and let Me perform new wonders that will let the world know that I alone rule.

The Ax is Being Laid to the Root by Wanda Alger

The political scene unfolding before us is exposing the deep, underlying ungodly roots of this nation. Though there is certainly need for godly leadership, there is an even greater need in this country. I believe the level of corruption in this nation is beyond imagination. Our government is deeply rooted in the ungodly covenant bonds of political parties, vows to secret societies, and pandering to global agendas. These have become spiritual strangle-holds on this nation and until these bonds are broken, righteous laws won’t get any traction.
There should no longer be any doubt as to the underlying CONTROL and MANIPULATION at the root of our government (yes, probably Jezebel, Leviathan, and every other Baal spirit).  THIS is what our prayers have been going after. Until these demonic strongholds are uprooted, there is no way for godly government to take hold. I don’t believe this election is simply about electing a conservative Christian who will enact righteous laws. Though they are obviously needed, there is an even greater urgency, and that is to not only confront those political powers, but to dismantle and displace them.

The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire. (Matthew 3:10 NIV)

I believe this is God’s purpose in this hour – to raise up leadership that is not afraid of these political spirits, but ready and willing to displace them. God is even using the front-runner in this election to address a spirit of OFFENSE – both in politics, and also in the Church. We must get beyond personality preferences and even “religious correctness” if we are to see the bigger picture of what God is doing. Our fight is not just against abortion, same-sex marriage, and radical Islam. It is a fight for the roots of this nation which have spawned all of these branches. Until we go to these roots, no President, Christian or not, will be able to uphold righteousness for the long-haul.
The Trump train is a prophetic picture of what God wants to do with this nation. God’s Spirit is going to come in like a flood – tsunami – runaway train – wrecking ball. Every religious spirit is going to be bowled over.  People will get offended. The way this next awakening is going to come will not be packaged the way we think.  Pay attention. If you can look past the packaging and the rhetoric, even the media is prophesying. God’s got this. He can’t be stopped. The question is – will we recognize it and welcome it?

Election 2016: It’s Not About the WHO, but the WHAT ~ Wanda Alger

In this upcoming election, everyone is so fixated on the “who” that we may be missing the “what” of God.  Where we are focused on a man, God is looking at His people. This is not so much about electing the right president but praying in the right president.

There needs to be tremendous prayer for this next election. There’s a shift that God wants to bring but it’s dependent on the people. God will give us a king that matches our prayers. Do not be quick to judge WHO would be the best fit BUT PRAY THE BEST FIT. This is not about backing a man but backing a principle. I want to give you a surprise. I see a picture of America gritting its teeth saying, “…we have to put up with this…?”  It was not making the nation happy, as a whole, but it seemed that God slipped it in.  (Prophet Dale Mast, March 24, 2015 speaking to the staff at Intercessors for America)

This word was given last spring before many of the current candidates were even finalized.  It would seem that God is not surprised at who is running.  Rather, it is a call for the people of God to partner with Him in the shaping and molding of a man for the office of President.  Notice: not to simply pray that the office fits the man, but that the man fits the office.

It’s not – right now – about the WHO. It is about the WHAT. There is the “what” of God and the agenda of heaven that God wants to accomplish in 2016 that will manifest the “who”. (Prophet Hank Kunneman on Sid Roth’s “It’s Supernatural”, posted on YouTube, January 30, 2016)

These two words, totally unrelated, are suggesting the same thing. Notice that the agenda of heaven will “manifest the ‘who’”. In other words, what we see now is not the final word! Do not judge by what we see at this time, for our prayers can make the difference. “God will give us a king that matches our prayers.” It would seem that there may be more at work than simply making the “obvious” choice. This is not a personality contest, but a sovereign process where the Lord is inviting us to change history through our prayers.

Are we simply looking for someone to make righteous laws, or is there more? WHAT will it take for the Church to rise up and engage in every aspect of culture to change ungodly mindsets and values for future generations? WHAT does the kingdom of God look like on this side of heaven? WHAT kind of leader will it take to stand boldly against the powers and schemes of tyrants, dictators, and practitioners of one-world agendas? More importantly, what will we, as believers, do after the election? Regardless of who gets in office, how will we stay involved and actively pursue the full expression of His kingdom here on the earth? A godly government should be the fruit of a godly people, not the precursor to it.

I believe God is giving us an opportunity, in these few months before the election, to help shape and form the right man for the days ahead through our prayers. Regardless of personal preferences, there are strengths and weaknesses within each candidate. IF we pray unto heaven’s agenda, I believe the Lord will make it more and more clear who His hand is upon.  The king’s heart is a stream of water in the hand of the LORD; he turns it wherever he will (Proverbs 21:1, ESV).

The man best suited for the office may not be popular with everyone and he may not be ready – yet. But, God can make him ready – if we pray.

If You’re Under Attack or Stuck – Clear Your Cache! by Wanda Alger

God is currently preparing many spiritual warriors for battle. What is coming in the days ahead will require believers to be strong in faith and spiritually whole and healthy. It is time to clear the emotional and spiritual clutter in your life and deal with stored up distractions, unresolved issues, and even old wounds that are clogging up your heart.
Many of you are feeling increased spiritual warfare and demonic attacks as the enemy is going after vulnerable areas and weaknesses in your life.  The focus of these battles is in your areas of temptation and struggle. The enemy’s purpose is to immobilize you and limit your spiritual authority and overcoming faith. However, the Lord wants to use these experiences to purify, refine, and strengthen you who have been on the front lines, contending for breakthrough.
The Lord brought me this word through some very practical and tangible demonstrations. I work between several computers in all my writing and administrative responsibilities. Two weeks ago my computers began to shut down. One said my current system was no longer effective and I needed an upgrade. Another one said that my Dropbox couldn’t sync anymore because my hard-drive was full. Then I was told my iCloud was almost full and I couldn’t store any more new information. Then I began to experience discomfort in my one eye because a tear-duct got clogged. Just this past weekend, we ended up having a chimney fire because the chimney hadn’t been cleaned out!
Through all these inconveniences and “attacks”, the Lord was speaking.  Where the enemy was probably trying to disrupt and discourage me, the Lord was telling me to pay attention to all the “systems” that were clogged. He was alerting me to the power of unresolved issues, hurts and wounds from the past, and doubts or fears that have never been dealt with.  The things that get stored up in our hearts and lives, even “good” stuff that doesn’t have any eternal purpose, can clog our hearts from receiving fresh revelation and breakthrough.  Just like you “clear the cache” on your computer from previous browser activity, so the Lord is telling us to clear out the junk that’s piled up in our lives. Until we do, we will be weakened in our faith and open prey for the enemy’s attack.
For some of you, it may mean visiting old relationships that were never reconciled and choosing to work through them. For others it may mean addressing weaknesses in your life or bad habits that have robbed you of peace and confidence in the Lord. For still others it may mean digging into the Word to resolve unanswered questions or doubts of faith that have limited your authority in prayer.  For many, even the daily distractions of media overload can clog up our spiritual receptors. Regardless of your personal struggles, the Lord knows how to deliver and set you free!
My husband was recently confronted with an ungodly belief from years gone by that he didn’t know was there. As he yielded to the purifying work of the Holy Spirit, God’s grace and deliverance was immediate. Though he never would have known about this weakness in his heart, the Lord confronted him with the opportunity to deal with it, thus strengthening his faith and growing his resolve.
If you are feeling under attack, be encouraged. It is precisely because God is listening to your prayers and His kingdom is advancing in your life, the enemy is digging deep and using whatever weakness or vulnerability you have to try to stop your momentum.  If you can yield to the Holy Spirit and choose to be an overcomer, God will give you exactly what you need to clear up the clutter and position you for the next breakthrough.
There are going to be battles ahead for any serious believer in Christ. We must be ready. We should be able to say as Jesus did that “…the enemy has no hold on me” (John 14:30)! God wants to upgrade your battle gear and give you a fresh revelation of His purposes. Don’t let the enemy’s attacks rob you, but rather propel you to greater victory.

To the one who is victorious and does my will to the end, I will give authority over the nations. (Revelation 2:26)

Disabling Principalities and the Fear of the Lord by Wanda Alger

There is a prayer that will not only disable the enemy but bring God’s glory. Though we should continue to plead the blood of Jesus over situations, it is the Fear of the Lord that will ultimately change things. In a dream last night, the Lord gave instructions as to how this works.  This has to do with taking the land and disempowering the principalities that are going after this next generation.

I was with other families on a large field. We were watching a woman giving instructions to our children who were gathered on one side of a plot of ground that we had prepared. She was telling the children that they were going to receive cuts, bruises, and wounds to their skin. She said it as if it was normal and simply part of the routine. 

I could tell some of the other adults that were gathered with me were not comfortable with this and began to murmur and complain. I, myself, felt a righteous anger rising up within me and knew something had to be done to shut down this demonic initiative. I could hear people beginning to speak their prayers out loud, taking authority over this woman. As the prayers began to rise up, I heard myself specifically speak the Fear of the Lord upon this woman and, to my shock, she immediately collapsed to the ground, unconscious. I knew it was this prayer that had disabled her.

Then I looked at the children who had been gathered opposite this woman and, they too were lying on the ground. But, instead of coming under holy judgment like the woman, they were receiving an impartation from heaven. You could tell by the look on their faces that they were encountering the power of God’s glory and Presence. I laughed as I saw this and remarked to the others as to the power of this simple prayer that not only brought judgment to the enemy, but promise to His children.

What a powerful demonstration of the Fear of the Lord! When I asked the Lord about this, He said that the power of this prayer is not in the words themselves, but in the posture of the one who prays it. You cannot effectively pray the Fear of the Lord unless you, yourself, are operating in it. The distinguishing mark of this reality is obedience.  Principalities and Powers recognize the difference between prayers that are words versus those that are lived. The true Fear of the Lord brings radical obedience when one encounters His holiness, His righteousness, and His glory.  It becomes a life-force and when one prays from this posture, the enemy cannot stand and cannot take any more ground (Joshua 4:24 ESV).

For those who oppose the Lord, the Fear of the Lord will bring judgment, but for those who obey the Lord, it will produce an encounter of His glory. This same prayer produces both.

The dream continued.

It was then that I saw we had been erecting a tent on the grounds. Stakes had been placed around a perimeter and we had been preparing this place for habitation. It was like the old revival tents and we were working together to secure the stakes as well as enlarge our borders. We could even see where previous stakes had been placed and, in some cases, a rock foundation had also been placed at one time and we needed to position our stakes accordingly for the strongest hold.

Not only was this perimeter being enlarged, but there were walls being erected. I saw men lifting heavy walls and positioning them. As they passed by me I saw they needed help so I lifted the corner to carry some of the weight. I realized that many people were engaged in this process of securing the grounds and everyone was doing their part. It was strategic, coordinated, and was soon becoming a fortress with great strength.

“Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes. For you will spread out to the right and to the left; your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities.”  (Isaiah 54:2-3 NIV)

I believe this dream illustration is another confirmation of what it means to coordinate our prayers with those of past generations in order to strengthen our foundations and secure our inheritance (Hebrews 11:40). Not only have past prayers taken some ground, but solid foundations have already been established that need to be rediscovered. The walls represent the prayers of the saints. Just as we are securing our borders, so we should continue to build a wall of prayer around our families, communities, and nation. We each need to carry our weight in this. It is this power of agreement and unity that will stand strong against those who oppose the Lord and try to darken the minds of future generations.

Through this dream, I believe the Lord is showing what is currently happening, as well as reminding us of our greater purpose. To see our land and nation restored, it will require several things: 1) Believers walking in the Fear of the Lord demonstrated through radical obedience. 2) Recognizing past prayer initiatives and building on them through mutual cooperation. 3) Uniting in a wall of prayer that will limit access to the enemy and secure the promises of God.

It always starts personal. If we are truly walking and living in the Fear of the Lord we should expect the enemy to be disabled and the glory of God to fall. Until that happens, God give us the grace to persevere.

An Open Vision: Rightly Interpreting the Signs by Wanda Alger

With all the prophetic signs manifesting in the natural realm (blood moons, weather patterns, media headlines, etc.), the question isn’t whether or not heaven is saying something, the question is if we know how to interpret them correctly.  Instead of interpreting them as signs of looming darkness and impending judgment, we have an opportunity to see God’s plans and purposes for His coming kingdom.  We forget that the enemy loves to counterfeit. He can’t come up with anything original so he takes what God intends for kingdom purposes and twists them for his own. Many of the signs that have caught our attention in recent months are actually revealing kingdom realities – IF we can see them.
On December 21, 2015 I had an open vision in a dream. It was the second such open vision in a dream in the past 3 months. Both had to do with signs in the skies…
I saw the heavens open up and a portal had opened that acted as a gate. Out of this gate I saw 3 things come out, one at a time. The first was a blood-red moon. It stood there for a while and then moved off the screen. Next came a round time-piece that was transparent and had numbers on it. I noticed that the timepiece was reversed, but I could see the number “2012” written on it. Soon, it moved off the screen and out came a moving scroll of hieroglyphics. On this moving scroll were Egyptian symbols that were moving and pulsating. Unlike the other two signs, this scroll never stopped. It continued to come out of the gate and never ended.
At first, I didn’t think much of it because the signs were not necessarily new – the blood moon prophecies already rampant, the Mayan prophecy from December 21, 2012, and the Spirit of Babylon that is invading the earth. However, as I have continued in prayer, I believe the Lord is asking us to go deeper. Notice that these prophetic signs have usually been interpreted as negative consequences and indications of bad things to come. Well – they ARE signs of what is to come – but not necessarily what the enemy is doing, but what GOD is doing – and ABOUT TO DO.
Blood Moons:  There WILL be more signs in the skies – literally. We need to look up and not so much look around. He wants us to look for HIS signs. Just as the Star of Bethlehem pointed wise men to the coming of the Messiah, so will there be heavenly signs that will reveal God’s coming GLORY. This next “coming” will not be the physical appearance of the Bridegroom, but an awakening of kingdom realities – an outpouring of heaven’s glory and power revealed through the sons and daughters in His kingdom. This will be to empower this final generation to bring the Bride to her fullness before the wedding feast.
Mayan Prophecy of 2012: On December 21 of 2012, there were many in the prophetic camp considering the implications of this date. If I hadn’t had this open vision, I wouldn’t have thought about it again (my dream was on December 21!) However, as I probed deeper, I discovered the subtle, yet powerful, SHIFT that took place on this date (to read more, click here). On that date in history, there was a REVERSAL of things (thus, the numbers on the time piece being in reverse). A “new age” and “new order” was initiated by those who are of another kingdom. Even so, they are simply confirming what God wants us to know – there HAS BEEN A SHIFT in seasons – in TIME. The number 12 represents government – December 21 is 12 in reverse.

The good news is that WE are the ones who have the opportunity to walk in the new realities of His kingdom power and authority. Just as those in the enemy’s camp believe their “global consciousness” can awaken this new world order, so we in God’s kingdom can awaken a global move of God’s Spirit pointing to JESUS CHRIST.  The reality of what it means to be of one heart, one spirit, and one mind, is being manipulated by the enemy (Philippians 2:2, Ephesians 4:4). Yet, the oneness WE have in the Spirit is so much greater and can reversewhat the enemy has planned!
The Spirit of Babylon: The Spirit of Babylon and all her cohorts (Leviathan, Jezebel, Ashteroth, etc.) HAS been unleashed – and it’s not going to stop. However, our prayers should go beyond just rebuking them, to OVERCOMING THEM. The truth being revealed is that HIS KINGDOM WILL NEVER END (Isaiah 9:7)!

As we rightly interpret the signs He gives us and reverse our worldly mindsets to kingdom realities, gates will open and His kingdom will enter and the increase of His government will never end! 

As the realities of God’s kingdom get closer, we should expect the supernatural to increase – not only in signs and wonders, but in counterfeit words, headlines, and interpretations. Yet, the enemy is only showing GOD’S HAND in what He has prepared for those who believe. Regardless of the threats of martial law, political chaos, and increasing Christian persecution, His kingdom is advancing. His power is increasing. His anointing is coming closer. Instead of fearing what the enemy is doing, we are to celebrate what God is revealing. NOTHING will stop His coming and NOTHING can overcome those who know who they are in Christ.

“What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love Him – THESE things, God has revealed to us through the Spirit.” (1 Corinthians 2:9-10, ESV)

Things to Look for in 2016 by Wanda Alger

Heaven is using the national political and social chaos to mobilize saints this year to prayer, action, and the manifestation of God’s glory.  Even as the enemy continues to advance his cause, heaven’s cause is greater. If we are to join in heaven’s mandate for the revealing of the true sons and daughters of the Kingdom (Romans 8:19), these are critical factors to watch for, pray into, and join in:
It’s the year of prayer and intercession. Congregational and denominational differences will fade as a more unified body joins together for a supernatural move of God. Whether large stadium events or small home gatherings, everyone is being called to prayer as the bowl of intercession is waiting to be tipped (Revelation 8:4).
Prayers will become targeted on communities. Spiritual authority will increase on the local level as believers realize the spiritual and practical implications of all the changes on the national level. Believers will emerge at local and state levels to bring godly leadership. We must recognize them, pray for them, and support them in order to exercise our spiritual authority in our regions.
FAMILY and COMMUNITY will be central. Covenant relationships with others in the body of Christ will be critical. This will increase oneness and the needed spiritual authority at the local level. Church divisions and disagreements will take a back seat in order to “…attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God – to mature manhood…” (Ephesians 4:13). Generational mantles and blessings will be fulfilled in and through families revealing the love and promise of the Father (Acts 3:25).
Five-fold ministers at every level will emerge in equipping the saints to do the work that’s needed in every sphere of society. Apostolic and prophetic authority will become more localized as God’s prepared leaders will equip and train the saints to do the work. Individuals who seek to build their own ministries and reputations will prove ineffective unless they are multiplying their gifts and becoming spiritual fathers and mothers to the next generation.
Ministering to and serving the community on practical levels will increase. The prayers that have been stored up for years will become fuel for works of service to the widow and orphan. Even as relationships across the body of Christ are being restored, heaven is directing this new-found unity towards action on very practical levels. Faith will be completed by these works and demonstrations of compassion (James 2:22).
The SOUND of Praise and Worship will break through to new levels. The high praises of God from a unified body will be one of our greatest spiritual weapons in the months ahead. There are some issues and battles that will only be settled through corporate praise. There is a sound from heaven that has a breaker anointing on it – the sound of a unified body. Even as God’s manifest presence increases throughout the Church, this “new normal” will launch targeted declarations that will displace and dis-empower principalities and rulers in high places. Corporate strongholds will be broken through corporate authority and praise. 
Signs and wonders will increase – both true and false. As apostolic and prophetic leadership increases to help establish healthy foundations in Kingdom living, signs and wonders will confirm God’s favor and power. We must pray for this to increase because of the rampant counterfeits that will also increase. Spiritual warfare is going to manifest more openly and believers from all backgrounds must become firmly rooted in the scriptural understanding of the supernatural realm (II Thessalonians 2:9-12). We must pray for FAITH to arise in order to defeat the Spirit of Unbelief that will try to hold the Church back in this area (I Thessalonians 5:20-22).
Greater discernment must come to the Body. Ancient practices in the occult are becoming more main-stream through Hollywood and entertainment. The Spirit of Baal and the ways of Babylon have been unleashed and saints must get beyond disgust, and even fear, to consider the true manifestations of the Kingdom which the enemy is trying to counterfeit and manipulate (Matthew 24:24). Believers should pray for greater discernment of spirits and seek to understand and walk in the realities of the supernatural realm knowing their true purpose in bringing God’s kingdom from heaven to earth.
Learn to welcome the unknown and unfamiliar. It’s the upside down kingdom. God will push our boundaries and take us out of our comfort zones in the coming months. As we have prayed for God to receive all the glory in bringing revival and spiritual awakening, He will take us beyond our gift sets, abilities, and spheres of anointing in order to prove it is He alone who is doing the work. Get used to being uncomfortable! It’s not about us – or our “callings” – it’s about Jesus and what HE wants to do through humbled and obedient vessels (I Corinthians 1:27).
The JOY OF THE LORD will become a distinguishing mark of the true Bride. There is a JOY that has power in it, not just good feelings. It’s a joy that has FACED THE WORST and chooses to lift up Jesus (Acts 13:52). Even as darkness increases and faith is tested, believers will learn to rise up and REJOICE, even as the enemy looks them in the face. This JOY will be so “unnatural” that it will break off Fear and even Death. The Church will join the Father as He sits on His throne and laughs (Psalm 2:4; 37:13). The Kingdom of Heaven will not be hindered nor God’s throne be usurped. All doubts will cease and the Bride of Christ will begin to sing for the wedding is near.

Don’t Let the Voice of Doubt Take You Out by Wanda Alger

The paths that lie before you are unfamiliar. God is taking you into unknown territory and the enemy is now threatened by the destiny that lies before you.
Two weeks ago I had a dream where I was visited by an “angel of light”. He seemed so familiar and was like many other angelic figures I have met in dreams. However, where the others have always been known by their humility and servant attitude, this one stood out by his attractive appearance and flattering comments towards me.
In the course of this dream, he approached me three different times. The first time he commented on my youthful appearance. The next two times he made comments that caused me to wonder – one about my vision for transforming revival and the other about “the one I’m with” (meaning my husband and the Lord).  He was questioning the validity of my dreams as well as the commitment from those who say they love me. It didn’t sound threatening, but it was unsettling.
It wasn’t until I woke up and started to pray that I saw the eerie similarity between his encounters with me and the devil confronting Jesus in the wilderness. I recognized the same lure and temptation. After flattering me and playing with my ego, his “innocent” questions struck at the very core of my beliefs. Just as he did in the wilderness with Jesus – and as he does with all of us – he caused me to consider if my beliefs were truly accurate and worthwhile.
I see many believers being stirred to go deeper with the Lord – beyond current experience and comfort levels into uncharted waters. He is telling many of us to step out of the boat and do things we’ve never done before – things we never thought we could do – in order for Him to truly get the credit. There is a measure of His Presence and glory that can only come when we get past our abilities and start depending on His. Just as He called Abraham to leave familiar surroundings to unknown territory, so He is calling many to places, relationships, jobs, and experiences, that are new and unfamiliar:

You call me out upon the waters, the great unknown where feet may fail
And there I find You in the mystery; In oceans deep my faith will stand… 

Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders;

Let me walk upon the waters wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger in the presence of my Savior

The faith that God imparts to us is a huge threat to the enemy.Thus, he is visiting many to cause doubts and questions about those very things we’ve held dear. He will not tempt us with the “big” things. He will come to us in ways that actually look appealing in order to distract us. He will play on our egos and insecurities in order to gain our attention and then throw the darts of unbelief into our hearts, hoping to immobilize us from going any further.
Believer – rise up and recognize his tactics! Settle your doubts and fears and determine to quickly rebuke those voices that cause you to question God’s will for you. Recognize the power of Christ at work in you to accomplish what you never could. Regardless of your past experiences – both positive and negative – He is ready and willing to take your hand to steady you on those rising waves and shifting waters. Rather than considering what you’re good at – look at whatHe’s good at and step out of the boat. He has already provided everything needed – He just needs your trust.
Recognize God’s favor, grace, and blessing upon your life to fulfill those dreams He has placed in your heart. Know that any level of discomfort that creeps in can actually position you to walk in the supernatural realm where anything is possible. Don’t let the enemy of Doubt take you out. Miracles are about to happen through you. Settle any lingering questions you have and get ready to walk on water.

I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them. (Isaiah 42:16 NIV) 

Immunity Against the Spirit of Fear by Wanda Alger

Through a recent dream, the Lord gave instructions in how to face demonic levels of Fear. It is the “pestilence that stalks in darkness” (Psalm 91:6) and the Lord is showing believers how to both rest in His Truth and boldly declare His praise in these days of increased threats, warnings, and uncertainties.
In the dream I saw what looked like a living Christmas tree filled with young people tier upon tier who were held captive. I knew they represented nations (they were wearing yellow and black uniforms) and they were jumping to their deaths, one after the other. The spirits of Fear, Death, and Hopelessness had so engulfed them they decided that suicide was better than living. I saw one after the other jumping over the side, yielding to the Fear that was holding them in bondage.
Every once in a while I saw a young person stand out to recant this disbelief, only to be literally shot down by another who was not only convinced it was futile, but dangerous to others. In the midst of this darkness I was appealing to them to reconsider! Fight this thing and live!
I was then taken to a dark, cold, damp basement. I could still feel the immense Fear and Despair permeating the atmosphere. I was facing a wall with empty benches and one lone girl sitting there. I was appealing to her to reconsider her decision to give up. So many others were already gone, but she still had a chance to live. She was so close to turning, yet, she tells me she is only one – and what can one person do? I then see another female sitting to the side observing. She tells me that she will stand with me and is willing to fight.
I am suddenly surrounded by several people. I am to receive an inoculation against this “disease”. I know that I have to become immune to it, but even this inoculation could kill me. Even so, I give my right arm to it, praying for the blood of Jesus to overcome. They then place me on a blue blanket on the floor in a corner to wait. Alone now, I can only pray, hope, and believe. In time, I actually begin to feel giddy, sensing that the inoculation is having an effect.
When I wake up, I am still under the influence of this spirit of FEAR. The fear is tangible in the room as I pace and pray. As I begin to pray in the spirit, the Lord takes me to Psalm 91 and I see that my dream was an illustration of this chapter.

You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.  A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at our right hand, but it will not come near you.  (Psalm 91:5-7 NIV)

I knew the Lord was giving me a chance to consider my own response if and when confronted with this level of demonic Fear. As I see myself standing in that dark place facing the wall of despair and death, I ask the Lord, “What do you want me to do? How do I overcome this thing!?”  I know I’ve been taught to rebuke the enemy, but somehow, that command seems incomplete in this setting.  It is not just that the enemy needs to leave, but that Jesus needs to come. It is not just that Fear must bow, but that LOVE must prevail.  It is not enough to raise my voice against the threat, but to change the atmosphere!
God calls me to declare His Name, lift up His praise, and declare His GOODNESS INSIDE THE DARKNESS. I realize that in God’s eyes, the size of the enemy does not matter. From God’s perspective, He does not need an army to overcome the darkness. He can start with ONE – one person willing to stand up, stand out, and lift up their voice in praise and worship; one person willing to declare His name FACING the fear instead of retreating from it.

He who dwells (sits in quiet) in the shelter of the Most High will rest (abide all night) in the shadow of the Almighty.  I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust” (Psalm 91:1-2 NIV). Because he holds fast to me,” says the LORD, “I will deliver him; I will protect him, because he knows my name (having intimate knowledge).  (Psalm 91:14, ESV)

Laying on that blue blanket in the dream represented resting on His Truth (blue is often the color of truth). I was alone because this is something that must be dealt with on an individual basis before it can have a corporate effect. As I lay there resting, His Presence changed ME and I began to not only experience peace, but the beginnings of a supernatural JOY.
The battle is not ours but His. We have an invitation to become IMMUNE TO FEAR by receiving God’s antidote – it’s the FEAR OF THE LORD. This, too, is powerful and terrifying (in the dream I knew that the inoculation had the power to kill me). Yet, it is God’s design to DISPLACE the enemy – not just get rid of him. He wants to fill us with the power of His Holy Presence – but it will cost us (I had to “give my right arm” to it). It will require us to lay down our agendas and rights and simply rest in Him.
In the days ahead, I pray that believers will find renewed strength and vision to know the power of God’s praises. WHEN – not IF – we are faced with Fear, Death, and Hopelessness, I pray we have the confidence to speak His name, knowing that He will deliver and set free. His Presence will change and transform the atmosphere and Fear will be defeated.
Wrap yourself in His Truth and learn to REST in Him. Allow the Fear of the Lord to inoculate you against this pestilence. Praise Him in the secret place and when the time comes, you’ll know what to do in the public place. Know that your praises to the Most High have the power to change the atmosphere and bring deliverance. Even nations will be delivered when just one courageous worshiper faces Fear and starts to praise.

Prophesy Good News of Great Joy! by Wanda Alger

This Christmas season has a Kairos purpose under heaven. I hear the Lord calling believers to pray and declare His heart as we come into this next season.
In the last two years I have had repeated dreams about Christmas time andsomething taking place during this season. These past few months I have had repeated words about JOY coming to the Body of Christ in unprecedented manner. I have also heard from numerous intercessors about dreams or visions of being pregnant or a sense of birthing something. All of these things seem to be converging.
The enemy is trying to instill FEAR and UNREST into the heart of this nation as well as other nations around the world. Even many believers are feeling anxious and uncertain about the days to come. There is a heightened longing forsomething to happen that will displace the enemy’s agenda.
I have been led to this passage which I believe to be a prophetic proclamation we are to declare for THIS time and THIS season:

And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger.” And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!” (Luke 2:10-14, ESV)

THIS is the Father’s desire – for believers to rise up and agree with the angelic host that there is no need to fear. There is GOOD NEWS OF GREAT JOY that is coming to us! This will be a SIGN for all people everywhere. Something is being birthed – the beginnings of revival and transformation.
Jesus already came once in flesh to reveal His humanity, but He is coming again by His Spirit to reveal His power over every ruler and power of this age. He loves to reveal Himself to the least likely, the unknown, the lowly in spirit. He loves to confound the world by showing up in unexpected places. He shows signs in the heavens and WISE MEN try to figure out where He is and what He’s doing here.
When He came the first time, He laid aside His right as a King and became a servant to all. It is this same spirit of humility that will draw heaven back to earth. It is to the pure and humble in heart that the heavens will open. Just as the faithful shepherds were keeping watch over the flock by night, so it is to those who have been faithfully serving and carrying His heart for others in the hidden places that will receive the first-fruits of this supernatural JOY and PEACE.

And in the same region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with great fear…(Luke 2:8-10)

The Fear of the Lord is the result of God’s GLORY being revealed. God is about to release a wave of His glory and it will produce the Fear of the Lord and MANY WILL SEEK HIM. To those who have been keeping watch, His glory will be seen readily and it will result in great WONDER and AWE (“…”and all who heard it wondered at what the shepherds told them.” Luke 2:18).
The season we are entering has great potential to be a season of SIGNS AND WONDERS. But, the Church must rise up and prophesy it! Prophesy about the good news of great joy that is for all people! Do not let fear grip your hearts, but let your mouths be filled with praise and thanksgiving as we anticipate His glory being revealed. It may not come the way we think or expect, but heaven is about to open and come down.

Only Sons and Daughters Can Take Cities By Wanda Alger

Do you think more like a slave or a son? If we want to see entire cities become centers of revival and transformation, we must get rid of our slave mentality. Slaves can’t take cities. Only sons and daughters can.
Just like the children of Israel in their long journey from Egypt into the Promised Land, so the Lord is taking the body of Christ through a process of preparation to receive this next great outpouring of His Spirit. There is an inheritance awaiting us. It’s the kingdom of heaven manifesting on the earth. But, heaven is waiting for the sons and daughters to be revealed. Creation itself is groaning for the children of God to rise up.

“The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed.” (Romans 8:19)

Look at the process God took the children of Israel through before they could take Jericho, the first city on their long-anticipated tour of the Promised Land.
God called them out of the bondage of Egypt. Whether it’s salvation, freedom from personal bondage, or the spiritual bondage of a community, God calls us out to something greater (Exodus 3:8).
God showed them what their inheritance was. We have to be convinced of who we really are and what we’ve already been given. Rather than disqualifying ourselves or allowing the enemy to keep us blinded, we must agree with heaven that we are, indeed, HEIRS and co-heirs with Christ with unlimited access to the throne and all the spiritual blessings and authority that goes with that crown (Psalm 2:8; Romans 8:17; Acts 3:20-21).
He brought them through a crisis of faith. The Red Sea was a crisis of faith for the Israelites as they had to step into unknown territory and trust God’s ability to deliver them. This is a repeated cycle in our journey until we have learned to trust God with the impossible (Exodus 14:15-16; Hebrews 11:6).
He tested them in the wilderness. It’s only in the wilderness experiences that we find out what’s really inside us. Everything  we depend on, other than God, will be stripped from us until we rest in God’s provision, alone…daily. This part of the preparation humbles us and positions us to live from His provision and Presence and not ours (I Corinthians 10:1-6; Hebrews 3:8).
He invited them to draw closer. God invited the children of Israel to come up Mt. Sinai to meet with Him personally. Unfortunately, their fears held them back and they settled for second-hand revelation from Moses (Exodus 20:18-19). The Fear of the Lord requires us to overcome fleshly fears in order to receive first-hand revelation from the Lord. We have access and invitation. The question is, will we go up.
He led them by His manifest Presence. Without a map or clear directions, God had to teach His children how to follow Him – a day at a time. It’s only when we learn to REST in His Presence that we can be good followers. It’s not where we are going as much as how we are going that matters to Him (Hebrews 4:1; 12:18-28).
He taught them to get over past failures – and successes. The Jordan River was the SECOND body of water the Israelites had to cross before entering the Promised Land. However, this time, the instructions were totally different. Instead of the mighty Moses leading the way, it was the next generation of worshipers (Levites) that stepped into the water carrying the Ark of the Covenant on their shoulders (Joshua 3:6-13). They had finally learned to receive His instructions and follow through without complaining or comparing with their past. New territories require new instructions. Will we listen and obey?
He circumcised their hearts in order to establish a covenant community. Their last stop before Jericho was Gilgal. This was where they built an altar of 12 stones (representing the 12 tribes) and the entire nation was circumcised. This represented covenant with one another. It was no longer “I”, but “we” (Joshua 5:8-9).
I believe many in the body of Christ are either trying to cross the Jordan River or are at Gilgal.
There are those who are at the edge of something new and trying to determine the best way to enter in. But, instead of comparing with past successes or looking to the “leader with the power”, God is looking to those who are carrying His Presence and working together. It is this Joshua generation that is carrying on the lessons learned from the past and staying alert to updated instructions and revelation thus opening the way for new opportunities and new territories.
There are also many forerunners who have been faithfully walking out this journey of faith and are now at their Gilgal. The pioneers who have had to endure alone must now join with others to take up a corporate cause that is greater than any one individual or ministry. God is calling the body of Christ to covenant together, shake off the reproach from past failures and disappointments and enter in as ONE. Ultimately, it will be this corporate circumcision of the heart that will empower the Church to receive our inheritance.
Jericho could not be taken until the slaves of Egypt became the sons of God. The reality is that there are GIANTS in the land that must be taken out! It is only the sons and daughters of the Most High God that have the access, authority, and anointing to do that. I pray we all yield to the process of preparation so as to receive that inheritance.

Judgment or Discipline? By Wanda Alger

There is one conversation that says God is about to judge America for all her sins. The other conversation focuses on God’s grace and unconditional love. The first conversation draws evidence from the Old Testament confirming God’s prerogative to wield His wrath. The other conversation draws from the New Covenant that says He would never do that today because of the cross. It’s as if these two cannot co-exist.
Regardless of the signs in September, the warships off the coast, fault-lines in California, and economic predictions, it’s not about what is going to happen as much as who we are becoming. The “what” and “when” is not nearly as important as the WHO and WHY. And it doesn’t have to do with the other guys’ sin!
Regardless of your theology or eschatology, there is one thing that is eternally true. GOD’S HEART NEVER CHANGES. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Though His methods may change, His heart and purposes haven’t. His love is unconditional – but so is His righteousness.
I believe a missing component to both of these conversations is the difference between God’s judgment, and God’s discipline. Most people see “judgment” as negative. We have embraced an attitude that God is punishing us for our past rather than bringing correction for our future. It is exactly because God loves us SO much and is so determined to see us fulfill our destiny, as individuals and as a nation, that He will do ANYTHING to bring us into alignment. We have forgotten the blessing of God’s discipline, which brings the needed course correction:

“Blessed is the man whom God corrects; so do not despise the discipline of the Almighty.” (Job 5:17)

“And you have forgotten that word of encouragement that addresses you as sons: ‘My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes everyone he accepts as a son.’” (Hebrews 12:5-6)

In BOTH covenants (OT and NT), God says He disciplines those He loves. He will do whatever it takes to see His purposes fulfilled through His sons and daughters – even calamity, if necessary.
In a previous blog, I shared of a recent vision I had within a dream where I saw a map of the entire world being hit by a wave of heaven’s glory and Fear of the Lord, starting from east to west. I was crying out for people to get ready for this glory that was coming. I believe it will be this kind of supernatural outpouring of God’s Presence that is going to help BRING CORRECTION to the earth. For those whose hearts are clean, God’s manifest Presence will be glorious. But, for those who are not ready, the Fear of the Lord will expose what has been hidden in the darkness and the consequences of unconfessed sin will manifest – spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Yet, it is through these “tribulations” that we will become who we were destined to be.

“Our fathers disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, that we may share in his holiness. No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.” (Hebrews 12:10-11)

“Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest, and repent.” (Revelation 3:19-20)

Notice there is a HARVEST coming! It is not just a harvest of souls, but a harvest of RIGHTEOUSNESS; sons and daughters of the kingdom rising up in holiness and the fear of the Lord. We are exhorted to be earnest and repent! This is our assignment – to stand in the gap for our family, our community, and our nation. Get rid of unconfessed sin and any roadblock or hindrance to His holiness.
Let’s stop talking of God’s judgment and start receiving God’s discipline. We have a loving Father who is passionate about us and is determined to fulfill the dreams He has placed within us. This is not as much about our past as it is about our future. Let’s not get distracted by what’s happening around us and focus on what’s happening inside us. The earth is waiting for the mature sons and daughters of the kingdom to be revealed. Let’s embrace the journey and get ready for the coming harvest!

I am Drawn to the Aroma of Sacrifice by Wanda Alger

If we want the Fear of the Lord to grip this nation and turn to Him, it will take more than prayer. It will take more than trumpeting His cause or decrying the godlessness pervasive in our culture. It will take believers who are willing to give everything they have and are for everything He has and is. It will take hearts that are desperate enough to do whatever it takes to receive the full measure of His Spirit and kingdom realities.

At a time when God’s grace is being heralded as His ultimate expression of love, we need to remember what being a Christian really means. It is death to self and full surrender to Him. We have forgotten what it means to sacrifice – for the right reason and for the right Person. This is the power behind fasting and consecration. It is our willingness to lay aside every distraction, self-effort, good work, and anything else that becomes self-serving instead of God-pleasing. Our prayer altars will only have the needed power when we lay sacrificial offerings on those altars.

When I asked the Lord about this sounding like I’m “working” for His promises, His answer was, “There is a difference between WORKS and SACRIFICE.” Works are driven by the flesh. Sacrifice comes from the heart.It is this heart of absolute surrender that He is looking for and this kind of sacrifice that releases the Fear of the Lord. It states in Isaiah 11:3 that “His delight shall be in the fear of the LORD.”(ESV) That word delight is the Hebrew word “ruah” and means “to smell or perceive”. It is the same word used in numerous passages about the pleasing aroma or offering that goes before the Lord in a sacrifice (Genesis 8:21; I Samuel 26:19). In other words, when someone sacrifices something – totally surrenders – to the Lord out of a pure heart, it is a delight to Him. It becomes an aroma of complete surrender which opens the way for Him to come and totally consume the one who gave the offering.
This word came two weeks ago after I encountered the Fear of the Lord in a dream. The Lord appeared as a magnificent Tiger in the midst of our prayer gathering. His size and power were immense and yet He was soft and warm. His presence was overpowering yet He held back. As we lay prostrate on the floor, He prowled around sniffing and looking, even coming up on the backs of individuals as He was smelling each person. He was looking for something. When he eventually came to me, I felt the Fear of the Lord as he put his muzzle right next to my face. I knew He was smelling me, testing me…

Where are the hearts of complete surrender? I can smell those whose offerings are of the heart and are desperate for My ways and My plans. I am drawn to the aroma of sacrifice and complete surrender for it is in those hearts that I can fully manifest my glory and power. Where are those who are willing to do whatever it takes for my manifest Presence to come? What kind of offering will you bring? What will you lay down in order for Me to move in?

Do you not know that I, TOO, am HUNGRY! I am hungry for you – fellowship with you – communion with you. I hunger and thirst for that which only you can give – your heart – your will – your life – your “everything”. Bring an offering and lay it on your prayer altar as a sacrifice unto ME and the aroma will draw all of heaven to your side. I am searching for that scent of surrender for when I find it, I will consume you.
