For many people, they have not felt the tangible presence of God for a very long time, but I want to encourage you with something; the spiritual atmosphere is beginning to change now, and you may have more of God’s presence than you know what to do with very soon. You see, while we were in the wilderness and more recently transition, sometimes God will pull back His presence in order to cause us to want to draw closer to Him and seek Him more deeply. If you have ever fasted then you know what it is like to hunger for food, so God is just helping us to hunger for Him. So even though it may have felt like God has given up on you and gone on vacation, this is simply not the case. God has always been there; He has just been drawing us closer to His fullness, through our emptiness.
JN 12: 24 I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.
The Lord has allowed all of these trials and tormentors to come in order to knock enough flesh out of us so that His Spirit can take over and manifest His presence to us, and through us. It’s been a very painful and difficult time of accelerated sanctification as the very last dregs of our old man are finally killed off, but in the end we become a clean and empty vessel ready to receive the fullness of His goodness so that all those around us can experience His love and power in order to be saved and know Him in this final hour. Think about how much you have changed over the last while, you are no longer the old you that you used to be. Now you are more loving, kind, and genuine than you have even been before. The “old flesh you” has been dying, so that the “new Spirit you” could live.
HEB 11:.6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
Here are a few things that you can do in order to help to promote God’s presence in your life right now. Firstly, cease to practice sin and get rid of your idols. You cannot serve God and idols at the same time. Secondly, forgive people from your heart and pray for God to bless them. Thirdly, pray and worship in the Spirit as much as possible whether you feel like it or not, and ask the Holy Spirit to help you. The Lord wants you to experience more of Him and to become one with Him; He wants to reveal more of Himself and the kingdom to you. Get your faith back and know that the Lord loves you and wants you to have more of Him. The bible promises that God rewards those who diligently seek Him, so believe what He said. Jesus is knocking right now, so step out in faith and let Him in!
