What Is God Saying? by Pam Clark

Nahum 1:2  "God is jealous, and the Lord avenges; The Lord avenges and is furious. The Lord will take vengeance on His adversaries, And He reserves wrath for His enemies."

I remember end time prophecy teacher Hilton Sutton preaching this when I lived in Houston. Doug Clark and Stuart McBirnie, Hal Lindsay and others were "hot" ministers teaching on the end times and the book of Revelation.

Sadly, whose theory was the most right also became competition and people turned away from all of it. The strife that came was not the spirit of the Lord!  But there were nuggets, anointed by the Spirit, that would stay. God is so good!

"He reserves His wrath for His enemies."   I have started hearing others preach on this again and it's given me a comforted smile.  All those who are "grace only" don't want to read the whole chapter of that, and even if they did, they would have to discern it.

The Bible has voices (meaning not just one) and you have to figure out who is speaking and who is God! God has direct orders and He also has long standing ones.  He will present a plan that you know (by faith) will happen and there are plans within plans to see that come about!

God can make some things stretch out and other things He can make happen so fast, that you have to figure out what just happened! Ha ha.

To really discern - and you have to grow in this, it is not overnight just because you got born again - you really have to learn the nature of the Spirit of God.  Just because you had "an experience" does not give you all the wisdom that you need. You have to seek for it and search for it, but ALL of it is meant to give your life meaning in Him. And He is not slack on that!

I don't care how assured someone may act, they don't have "a handle" on God. Even righteous Job did not and God bragged on him!

Love is about desire, and God pays attention to our desires and what they are all about.   We don't "make a deal" with God that takes away our humility.   Many want to claim the catbird seat, but there may be some pride there that will be brought down.  If you read the whole Bible, you will see references to such things.

Hebrews 11:21 "By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of the sons of Joseph, and worshiped, leaning on the top of his staff."

Jacob was / is a big deal in the Bible. His name was also Israel. But in this glory moment, he was a humbled man.   It is good when our boast is in the Lord and not on man.   There can be too much family competition, which is not good.  But God will deal with it.  It may take some time, but He will deal with it, because He knows what He wants.

I was sharing with a friend the other day (who bore witness to this) that we can look for Spiritual "status" and miss the will of God.   God will test our hearts to see if we are really after Him or that.   And because He is invisible in many ways, you will find His "secret society" where only a glance even can communicate. Not everyone is in the same place, but there are touch points where it works. I wish people would understand this more for the Revival that is coming.

There is going to be a group that comes together that will deliver the death knell to evil, because they put Him [God] first.

There was a slogan a while back that used to give me shivers. It was "I am God's favorite!" Now, I get that some people needed to know a deeper depth of God's Love and favor, but it also sure could open the door to that deadly competition!  It's cute as a joke, and we all are favored over the devil!   But if one group claims it over another, watch out!  Romans 2:11 plainly says: "For there is no partiality with God."

Now His Bride, which is His Body, is favored, chosen and special.  But it's the whole Body, not just part and there is teaching out there that wants to snare people too, by trying to make some "over" others. Watch out! That is pride!!!

Jesus said in Mark 9:35  - And He sat down, called the twelve, and said to them, “If anyone desires to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all.”

"What?  What about me?" - some will say.  Well you ARE important which is why God wants RELATIONSHIP with YOU!!!

Many will and do and will want to pray: "God, deliver me from evil!" That is also the Lord's prayer for us to model. But that deliverance comes through removing all pride.   When we are through focusing on ourselves, we will start praying for the Body, His Body, that HE RESPONDS TO!

It's not about us dictating to Him, but interceding. When we do that with His Vision, a good thing starts going on.   Many pray for their own vision. I think we all do that at times.  We believe we come up with good ideas many time, but He has to pass judgment and discernment on that.   Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not.  We have to allow Him to rule on it.  Sometimes He says yes, sometimes He says no, and sometime He says later.  But all His response comes with the Spirit of goodness as the foundation.

It's important to know your assignment and that can only come through prayer and being a worthy disciple/student.  If the Scriptures are not being incorporated into our lives, we are missing the Message!   This means a lot:  Jesus is the Living Word.   Apostle Peter said to Him,  "You are the Son of the Living God" and he was commended for that insight.   He missed it a few verses down, but God loved that man and went after him.

Peter got the message and came through.   :)   And what was he told?   "Feed My sheep!"
