Lament for America. Woe Unto Her! by Nathan Leal
(This is a prophetic word written in poetry about my lament for America)
The Daughter of Babylon Rises!
By Nathan Leal
America’s land was once spacious and free.
The people were blessed,
…with God’s grace shed for thee.
She trampled His light,
…her bright lamp to the world.
She snuffed out the flame,
…and the darkness unfurled.
Her strength was God’s law,
…and her strength was His way.
She misplaced His Word,
…now her path is astray.
Her soul has turned black,
…as she enters the night.
Her heart does not care,
…that she’s lost the good fight.
She poisons the world,
…with her lust without shame.
She baffles men’s minds,
…with the lies she proclaims.
She promises life,
…with a path to a grave.
She celebrates death,
…to all those she enslaves.
She’s cunning with words,
…that the people believe.
Her giveaways praised,
…by the blind and naïve.
Her gifts of free phones,
…make the prisoners cheer.
The masses rejoice,
…for the crumbs on their ears.
The few that are stirred,
…they grow angry and shout –
“America’s changing…let’s get the word out!”
The patriots squint,
…with dim eyes that can’t see.
Some think that their hope,
…is a party with tea.
She shed what was right,
…and took hold of things wrong.
She dismissed the truth,
…and disgraced her old song.
A snare will abound,
…thrust her brood in a chain.
Most cannot discern,
…that they’re headed for pain.
She’ll forsake the tale,
…of the red, white and blue.
Her liberty’s song,
…will no longer be true.
The future will change,
…but few see or have fear.
The days will approach,
…when they all will shed tears.
Her man is in power,
…he’s headed for fame.
Of how he defiled,
…and blasphemed God’s Name.
He’s changing the message,
…he’s changing the rules.
He’s raising a banner,
…that they were all fools.
He tramples and scoffs,
…at the Bill of their Rights.
Dividing their hearts,
…soon the land will ignite.
The eagle laments,
…at red evil released.
It groans and travails,
…at the rise of the Beast.
Confusion arrives,
…she is Babel reborn.
She’s rabid and angry,
…oh land, you should mourn!
She’ll march with distemper,
…she’ll tread with great wrath.
She’ll oppress God’s people,
…who walk in the path.
She’ll alter her shape,
…and change into a Beast.
Her mouth will grow fangs,
…to destroy the Mid – East.
Her eagle will die,
…as it sees her display.
The crash to the ground,
…will send many astray!
New fires will burn,
…justice thrown to the wind.
The nations will rage,
…a new night will begin.
She’ll abandon the poor,
…and she’ll shackle the free.
The future of earth,
…will see great misery.
She’ll roar like a lion,
…they’ll writhe in her pain.
She’ll shred and she’ll torment,
…she’ll eat flesh for gain!
Her mercy will lack,
…as they cry in the night.
Her call will demand,
…that they feel her foul bite.
And most will believe,
…through enchantments and spells.
They’ll blindly have faith,
…that through her, they’ll be well.
The fearful will find
…it’s a challenge to flee.
Her eyes fill the heavens,
…Her spies have a key.
She’ll chase them with fury,
…few places to hide.
They’ll huddle in dwellings,
…where God won’t abide.
The darkness will slice,
…and eat Liberty’s Bell.
And Babylon’s force,
…will bring poison from Hell.
The gates from below,
…will be summoned and called.
And woe to the earth,
…many hearts will get mauled.
With underworld open,
…who can stand in its wake?
Awaken God’s people,
…there is so much at stake.
Dark spirits have venom.
…God’s people have light.
It’s time to find armor,
…turn wrong into right!
The Beast shall arise,
…and a storm will unfold.
Prepare now God’s people
…it’s all been foretold!
The country will change,
…and will walk into night.
It’s time to find Jesus,
…and fight the good fight.
So many with burdens,
…weighed down with their sin.
Repent of the past,
…it is time to begin.
He’ll comfort and touch,
…the one wounded in tears.
Just trust Him this moment,
…and He’ll heal the lost years.
With darkness upon us,
…no time to delay.
Cry out for salvation,
…make this the Lord’s Day.
A word for the people.
God’s blessing to all,
Nathan Leal
