Words of Prophecy
* One should never be looking for a certain
"feeling" but rather they should be looking to be found in the proper position -
according to My Will - regardless of how they "feel"!
* There is
nothing wrong with "feeling[s]" [nor will one be influenced by them in a wrong
way] when one's spirit-man is continually in dominance over their soul
[mind, will, emotions] and body!
* The "feelings" that accompany "true love" are far greater than
the "greatest" of feelings that the flesh could ever "conjure" up.
* The true Christian life of absolute faith working through an
absolute love [manifesting in a perfect
obedience] is not found in thoughts and feelings, but deeper than where
one can "see or feel" - that is, in the "abiding life" of My Spirit in the
spirit of every child of Mine.
* One of the greatest "temptations"
that faces My children at times is the lack of "feeling[s]" they experience - that, of course, being the
opposite to an experience "consumed" with feeling and "passion". And so, they
must guard against either extreme. For truly I say to you, whether one "feels"
something or does not "feel" something, My Word [Will] remains unchanged as it pertains to any
given situation which they are standing in faith for. And, so, once again, it
comes down to the matter of a moment to moment obedience on their part, a moment
to moment trusting in Me - regardless of what they may see or hear or feel or
think.
* I am infinitely more real than any thoughts or feelings
which "fluctuate" continually in the soul of the one whose focus is on that
which they perceive through their five physical senses.
* It is
only through a close and abiding fellowship, and a "perfect maintenance" of the
heart that will allow the living Word to divide between that which is of the
soul and that which is of the Spirit. This is a very "sensitive" area and one
can see clearly why I call for "moment to moment" obedience by all of My
children; for it is only this obedience that will preclude "all" deception and
keep them safe from every Satanic trap and snare and hindrance.
From these things, you can see why "any" dependence upon feelings [emotions], "renewed" or unrenewed is most
unacceptable! For any dependence upon a feeling breeds only a deeper dependence
on feelings and it shall not be long before one is deceived into an "absolute
dependence", based upon how and what they "feel" rather than on the revealed
knowledge of My Word.
All those that seek only to walk in perfect
obedience shall indeed have their share of "good" feelings, but truly I say to
you, never must they ever, even for one fleeting moment, place any dependence
upon them as their final authority. For it is in the absence of any
"self-assurance" that I am "enabled" to show Myself in the strongest manner,
through My children, and continually grant them a "divine assurance" deep in
their heart that will sustain them supernaturally - to the very end of their
race.
...."For we walk by faith [we regulate our lives and
conduct ourselves by our conviction or belief respecting man's relationship to
God and divine things, with trust and holy fervor; thus we walk] not by sight or
appearance".... 2 Corinthians 5:7 The Amplified
Translation As Christians [true sons and daughters] it is extremely
important that we are not found being "up one minute and down the next".
We must [through the constant renewal of our
mind, will and emotions and the bringing of EVERY thought captive to God's Will
{Word}] NEVER allow ourselves to get "too high" [emotionally speaking] when things go well
or "too low" [again, emotionally
speaking]when things do not appear to be going well. It is certain
that one cannot come to a very high degree of faith or "depth" of revelation
concerning divine Love unless they, first of all, "practice" God's Presence
[on a daily basis]and secondly, they
steadfastly practice bringing EVERY thought captive to a revelation of His Will
[Word]. It is not that we don't
"feel" things or have "feelings" as a people of faith it is just simply that we
never "allow" those feelings to influence us one way or another concerning the
reality of God's Will [Word].
One of my favourite Christian songwriters from when I first
started out had a song in which one of the main lines was, "Love is not a
feeling, it's an act of your will". As one continues on in a steadfast faith
and love [regardless of how they may feel, at
times] it is certain that the corresponding feelings will SURELY come
in due time and, like the spiritual impulses and impressions that rise up from
one's inner man [in and by the power of the Holy
Spirit]to continually influence the mind [and, in so doing, empower one to "abide" in the Mind of
Christ] "divine emotion" filters up in that very same way to
influence our emotions [soul] and, in
so doing, empower us to feel exactly how the Lord feels in any given situation -
which is another of the spontaneous fruit of one "abiding" in Love.
