Words of Prophecy: * Divine
faith is a product of Divine love. A desire and a seeking after
"self-sufficiency" is the product of a "natural" faith working through a "human"
love [love of self].
* There
is no such thing as "righteous motivation" [towards
Me or towards others] apart from divine love.
* One can
"never" walk in love based solely upon their "good intentions". For one to truly
abide in love they must continually "allow" My Spirit to shed abroad "divine
love" within their heart. It is only as one obeys the "command" to guard their
heart with all diligence that they shall have the "assurance" that they are
indeed walking in love - and, thus, fulfilling My commandment to "love one
another" at all times.
* Having been "loved" by Divine Love one
can never settle for the "emotional gratification" and attachment that many
attempt to define as "love".
* The "reciprocal" action of a
fleshly "emotional" attachment is a holy cleaving unto one another in the Spirit
of Love which, in reality, is a "cleaving" unto Christ. As each of My children
"live and move and have their being in Me" - and, thus, as they seek only to
carry out My Will, moment to moment - then surely those who are "seeking" Me
shall cleave unto them, not for any other reason than that they are one with Me.
There is a distinct difference between cleaving unto one in fear and selfishness
and cleaving unto one in faith [love]. "cleave" - to stick fast; adhere: with,
to; to be faithful: with, to;
...."This is My commandment,
that you love one another, just as I have loved you. Greater love has no one
than this, that one lay down his life for his friends".... John 15:12-13
NASB
...."Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never
is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does
not display itself haughtily. It is not conceited [arrogant and inflated with
pride]; it is not rude [unmannerly] and does not act unbecomingly. Love [God's
love in us] does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not
self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of
the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong]. It does not
rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth
prevail. Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready
to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all
circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening]. Love never fails
[never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end]".... 1 Corinthians
13:4-8a The Amplified Translation Why do some believers find
it so difficult to enter into the concept of Divine Love? Because if they are
entangled [maybe even bogged down] in
human relationships operating on a soulish level, it hinders [limits]their understanding of an ardent,
holy Love that transcends earthly perspectives - and, in fact, it becomes far
from their normal way of thinking. We only need to consider Jesus' life [and especially His death]to recognize that
Divine Love is passionate, selfless, powerful and all-consuming - and built on a
foundation of humility [an absolute faith in
{and dependence upon} God]. Jesus is the Supreme Lover who
communicates with us on an unfathomable [immeasurable, boundless] level - Spirit to
spirit and deep to deep. The 'Song of Solomon' reflects this fervent Love
between Jesus and His Bride:
...."Seal me in your heart with
permanent betrothal, for love is strong as death and jealousy is as cruel as
Sheol. It flashes fire, the very flame of Jehovah. Many waters cannot quench the
flame of love, neither can the floods drown it".... Song of Solomon 8:6-7a
[Living Bible]. "apprehend"- to grasp the meaning of;
understand, especially intuitively; perceive;
This Love that
propelled Christ to the Cross is both available and necessary in our lives for
us to honour the Lord in our relationships. Soulish attachments based on our own
emotions simply won't do. The Father wants us to both understand [apprehend] and enter into His
supernatural, pure and Divine Love - again, a Love that operates on a level far
above the experience of earthly [human -
soulish] love. It is possible by the Grace of God and the empowering
of His Holy Spirit to first love God and THEN others with the Love that was
demonstrated at Calvary. Firstly, it requires a laying down of one's self [of one's demands, rights, expectations and desires in
a relationship] and, secondly, it requires a faithful, compassionate
Love [which is only available through the Spirit
of God - Who is the Spirit of Love], a giving of one's very being to
the other - for their benefit, alone. Divine Love operates on a completely
different "plane" from the selfishness [self-will and self-serving] of normal
"human" friendships [relationships] -
without exception.
Jesus loves with a Love that far surpasses
anything we can ever reach in our "own" strength and understanding - and we are
called to build relationships along those lines - and along those lines, alone.
Divinely empowered, Holy Spirit inspired: the Love of God is truly a precious
and holy thing. It must be clearly understood by every believer that it is
indeed possible to walk above earthly attachments and love somebody with the
holy Love of God that He puts within us. This is the ONLY kind of Love that can
enable us to love our enemies and those used to persecute us. The joy of a
relationship [with God and with man]
built on the bedrock of Divine [totally
selfless] Love has no bounds! Both to give and to receive within the
compass [limits or range]of such a
friendship is a blessing of immeasurable worth. It is literally Heaven on
earth! |
