Bad Dreams by Pam Clark

There are waves of fear being sent out over the land, and we need to discern our safe place in God. A couple of days ago I had a dream, and when I woke up from the fear it caused, I really worked to process the dream in the Lord. Most dreams I get a benefit from if I really pray over them. But this is what I am now calling a "sudden destruction" dream. I am giving it a label because I think many other people have these too. Some will call them prophecies, but when they are negative like this one, (1) I don't want it to happen, so I pray and (2) I ask what is the result of this dream, good or bad?
Little children have nightmares, and I rarely get them, but this was a nightmare. In this case it was a fleet of military planes rising up out of an unknown airstrip to me near here, flying over this area and shooting. I just had this dread that "I don't want this to happen!" because so much was being lost. So anything I get like that, I sure take it to the Lord and ask for His clarity and truth. The devil can give dreams too. This was what I believe the Bible calls to be a "night terror." The dream did not come from the Lord.
Wannabe prophets are quick to jump on negative words so they can feel "right" and "important." I was not created in God to be helpless, but pro-active for His good will! I remembered others who have had dreams and while I feel some could be prophetic, I have to ask if this fear is where I want my outlook to be, and the answer is NO.
God will warn, and He will give people visions of the future. He will also give warnings so that man will be wise to change his ways and outlooks to the right way, so that he can receive a blessing instead of a curse! If we look at the devil too much, we can become like him. We need to know God's will to overcome him.
Satan is the Accuser of the brethren and since God is good, when the negative comes, you can almost always find his bad fingerprints in the work. Thank goodness, he is not eternal (with the believer) but we do have to learn how to deal with his tactics till the coming of our Messiah, and it is good to hasten that Day!
That wave of fear was a real thing. I choose to turn my eyes and heart on to the Prince of Peace, but it had a force as sure as if someone had physically assaulted me. I just had to find my place in the Savior, and thank God, I have one.  The Holy Spirit may be seeking you to help prevent intended bad things.
God's not playing a bunch of games with us. The end times are upon us and we have to be sober and vigilant because our adversary is roaming around like a lion, seeking whom he may devour. We don't want to be his food!
I just want to encourage you not to take every evil thought as a premonition; it can be a snare. God may be working on you about being pro-active with Him! That has many great rewards. Take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.
In the book of Revelation, it talks about many waves of evils attacking mankind. I think we have lived to see a number of them. Our safe place is in Jesus! We are the overcomers if we choose to live in Him.
