Come and Drink of My Living Waters! by Julie Meyer

Santa Maria, CA

Jesus boldly told the Samaritan woman at the well of Jacob that she could come to Him and He would give her living waters. He was speaking figuratively of the Spirit of God. We cannot live without natural water and so we cannot spiritually live without the water of the Spirit of God. Jesus taught the disciples in Matt. 5:6 that "blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied."
It is interesting that Jesus said that we should thirst for this righteousness. That provokes me to ponder why being thirsty and righteousness go together. Because righteousness is an old English word that has become somewhat vague and religious in our modern world, I believe it begs a new definition or translation. If you boil down the 10 commandments as Jesus did when He said, "The greatest commandment is to love God with your whole heart and soul and body..." That grand statement boils down to "doing the correct or right thing" for God and people and ourselves.
So when we hunger and thirst for, and are able to do the right thing, He promised that we would be satisfied. How does this happen? The only way it can happen is if we have the indwelling presence of God in our hearts via His Holy Spirit. David said in Psalms that his heart and flesh longed and thirsted for God in a dry and weary land. Again the language used here is symbolic and points to water for the thirsty. David mentioned the life giving power of the Spirit of God in Psalm 51, "take not your Holy Spirit from me..."
Living Waters
David loved the Presence of God and the Holy Spirit. He knew that if he grieved the Spirit of God He might leave him and then the Presence of the Lord would diminish. David lived in the days of the Old Covenant and so did the Samaritan woman at the well. Jesus came along and told this woman that she could have living waters inside her and she would never be thirsty again. This woman was not allowed in the Jewish temple and was considered to be a Gentile.
Jesus risked much to minister to her and probably stirred up come controversy as people heard what He did. God has been inviting mankind to fellowship with Him since the days of Adam and Eve. He walked and talked with them in the garden when He came to visit them. He was about cultivating a relationship with them. He made it easy for them to know Him. His heart has never changed and He has again made it easy for us to experience Him by the sweet indwelling presence of His life giving Spirit.
Come and drink of His living waters and allow them (Holy Spirit) to well up in you like the well where Jesus invited the woman to drink of His living waters. This Samaritan woman was outcast and probably depressed. Her own people had probably rejected her and the Jews had also rejected her people. For Jesus to talk to her was actually culturally forbidden. She must have felt unworthy and even tried to test Him and get out of the situation. But Jesus gently shared love and hope with her and she was so transformed that she went to her village and told people about her experience and many people found Jesus that day.
Regardless of how we feel about ourselves, He is always telling us, "Come and Drink." "Come to Me and I will give you living water and you will never thirst again!"

Making the Climb – to the Mountain of the Lord by Julie Meyer

Dream: The Mountain of the Lord
Psalm 24:3-4 Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who may stand in His Holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart...
I had a dream, and it was as if I was "within" Psalm 24 walking up the Mountain of the Lord.
I had to set my heart for the journey. It was a steep and narrow path, though it was a path well-trodden, and I pondered the patriarchs of old who had walked this same path. (Photo via Julie Meyer)
In the dream, I was carrying baggage with me. I realized I would never make it to the top of the Mountain carrying it, so I took it off and laid it aside.
There were many people on this path walking alongside me, however I noticed that several on this same trek up the Mountain didn't want to remove their baggage. The higher they began to climb, the heavier the baggage became; still they held on tight, not wanting to set any of it down, not even the smallest of bags. They became so pre-occupied with what they were carrying, they were unable to ascend. So, tightly clinging onto their baggage, they simply stopped, turned around, and started walking back down the Mountain.
There was Only One Path to the top. I began to notice whispers and grumbling because the Mountain was real, the path was narrow, and it was steep. It required endurance and diligence to stay steady and to stay focused on the small narrow path.
I came upon an elderly man with a long wooden rod in his right hand. He had a long, white beard and long, wild, white hair that fell down over his shoulders. His face was set looking onward and upward. He was not looking to the left or the right. He was not turning around or even grumbling about the steepness of the path. He was not carrying any baggage; he was walking in one direction with a face that was set on arriving at the peak and nothing less. He looked as if he knew where he was going and how to get there, so I found my stride right with his. He had authority upon him, yet a deep, humble spirit.
Out of the corner of my eye, I began to see people looking for shortcuts or different, possibly-easier ways to reach the top. The elderly man would say to each one, "There are no shortcuts and there are no other paths. There is only one way, and it is this path. If you stay on it, it will lead you straight to the top; and to make the climb, you have to lay down all your baggage." (Photo via Pixabay)
As he spoke, his words penetrated the very core of my heart, and I kept telling myself, "Stay on the path, lay down all the baggage, and there are no shortcuts. Just keep walking, stay steady."
I happened to look up just in time to see a road sign: The Pathway of Humility. At that exact moment it was as if I was transported back in time, and I realized the man in front of me was Moses; in an instant, my eyes were open to see humility, diligence, steadiness, and zeal.
He continued up the Mountain, saying over and over, "There are no short cuts and there are no other paths. There is only one way and it is this path. If you stay on it, it will lead you straight to the top. It will also change you from the inside out. This journey will do a work of humility within. If you stay steady in the midst of the steep climb, it will produce diligence and endurance for your next season."
There Are No Shortcuts
Finally, we ascended to the very top of the magnificent Mountain. Very few men and women actually endured for the whole climb. But those who laid it all down were standing at the very top and crying out Psalm 24:7"Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in."
I realized that I was standing in a place of great authority. This is the place where we have the authority to cry out, "Lift up your heads, O you gates!"
Many people get this invitation, but few make the whole journey. For many start the climb yet want to keep their baggage and are unable to continue up the Mountain. Some people wandered off the trodden path for other adventures that looked better to the eyes but were worthless to the soul.
I saw clearly there are no shortcuts to the top of this Mountain. It is easier to stay on the path. It is easier to keep walking. This Mountain, this climb, is an invitation of the Lord to climb His Holy Mountain with clean hands and a pure heart, and all the while embracing humility which produces great authority. Though some people start with baggage, or offenses, or unforgiveness – we all have the opportunity to lay it down. In order to continue upward, you have to lay everything down, otherwise it is impossible to make the climb, for the weight of these will make the climb too burdensome. (Photo via Pixabay)
The pathway called Humility is a steep climb, but it produces an inward life, a steadiness that you can only get if you stay on the path. No pain, no gain – but this trek is a place of great gain, living from the inside out...and if you can make it to the very peak, it's a place of new authority. Those who laid it all down and just did the journey, they began to proclaim in authority: "Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in" (Psalm 24:7).
Where are you in this climb? Is the path too steep and hard because you need to lay down some baggage? Do you find yourself looking for easier paths, easier ways to reach the peak? Maybe you have become distracted with the pleasures of this age, they might have caught your eye...
For we are all invited. We all receive the invitation to lay down our baggage, to stay on the path. We all get to be a part of this great climb up the Mountain of the Lord.
This is the season to lay it all down and to stay on the path: Lay down offenses, lay down unforgiveness, lay it all down and stay steady for the journey. You can do it...the Patriarchs of old walked this path. Jesus walked this path. Paul walked this path. Will you? (Photo by Jennifer Page "Forgiven"via elijahshopper.com)
Hebrews 12:1 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.

Call Forth the Angels of Revival! by Julie Meyer

Oh my dove, in the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the cliff, let me see your face. Let me hear your voice; for your voice is sweet, and your face is lovely. Song of Solomon 2:14
I looked up through the ceiling and saw a vast angelic army. Together the angels seemed like an ocean of brilliant, radiant light. It appeared that they were pulsing and trembling, just waiting to break in. They were waiting to be released by the call of the angel who had led me into the room. He was in great anguish because he earnestly desired to give the call they were all expecting, but he only said one sentence: "It is not quite time yet."
I kept looking at the heavenly hosts. I could see ladders. I could see lamps. I could feel the anticipation and how strongly they wanted to break in. The angelic multitude was getting ready to burst in, not with a simple entrance, but with a flood of divine activity. Only this single angel held back the imminent breakthrough.
But it was not quite time for him to release them. There was something yet to be completed before the breakthrough could happen, though I was not shown what it was. (Photo by Lillis Boyer "Stirrings of the Supernatural" via elijahshopper.com)
I noticed the Lord standing at the head of a man's bed. I was able to feel His gaze of tender kindness and hear His gentle whisper over this man. He said,"So many people said they would do it, and they never did, but you really did it. You really did it."The Lord's affirming voice, affection, and kindness to this man were due to his faithfulness in continual night and day prayer, even in the mundane things of life. This man did not seek fame and fortune; he stayed steady, lovesick for God and unoffended day by day.
A tear came from the corner of the Lord's eye; He was deeply moved by this man's faithfulness... The Lord looked at me and said, "We have heard many pray, 'Take us up.' Instead, tell the faithful ones, 'Heaven is coming down. Heaven is breaking in.'"
Call Forth the Angels of Revival
This is part of a dream I had back in 2007. At the time of this dream, I remember the Lord being so moved by someone who did not grow weary in the place of prayer through hard times, dry times, or mundane day-to-day life.
Oh, how He loves our voice in every season. He loves our cries, our song. The God of the universe loves the sound of our little voice and prayers. And God is answering our little prayers. He is a big God that loves our little prayers. My "little" combined with God's "big" is always His big.
Isn't this amazing? He loves our sound. Our prayers matter. Revelation 5:8 tells us that the elders who are ever before the throne of God, they each hold a harp and bowl. The harp is a symbol of constant worship, and the golden bowl full of incense is the prayers of the saints. That is your voice. That is my voice. Our voice is ever before the throne of God.Prayers never die, they live on and on. Our voice is mixed with all of the prayers of the ages, with all of the prayers ever prayed. This fragrance lives on; our prayers arise continually before God who reigns over the universe. (Photo by Lillis Boyer "Holy Incense" via elijahshopper.com)
As I sit in the Healing Rooms – House of Prayer in Santa Maria, California (my new home) – I remember this dream I had years ago. I remember seeing the angelic host waiting for the time of great break-in and great breakthrough to be poured out on the earth. I know we have experienced seasons of revival and renewal. We have experienced periods of His presence in amazing ways with healing and salvation. But I saw a greater breaking in of Heaven to the Earth, and when I had this dream years ago, it was bigger and greater than anything I knew I had ever experienced or seen.
I have recently had another dream that I believe is a continuation of this first dream, for I was given instructions in this dream and told to cry out for help from the sanctuary. I was told to cry out for the "Angels of Revival." And so, I cry out and share this new dream with you, because God is listening.
And Then Heaven Will Come Down! What Goes Up MUST Come Down!
I had a dream. I was told to call forth the "Angels of Revival." I was told to call for them three times. So I put my hand up to my mouth and began to shout: "I call forth the Angels of Revival. I call forth the Angels of Revival. I call forth the Angels of Revival." Suddenly, angels began to arise out of the mountains...their bodies stood up out of the mountains. They were so huge.
Suddenly this host of heavenly beings – these Angels of Revival – all came together, and James Goll was right in the middle of them. The angels were bigger and larger than the largest and tallest human, standing head and shoulders above everyone and everything. James Goll was right in the middle of these heavenly beings. I looked at James, and I was thinking to myself,James, you are shining – are you in Heaven now? In the dream, James knew my thoughts and he looked at me and said in his James voice, "No, I didn't go up. Heaven has come down."
These Angels of Revival were wearing golden robes that went down to their feet, and they had a cream-colored collar around their neck. They were shining and they were singing. This beautiful choir, these beautiful harmonies...I could see the vibrations of their tones going forth and going out, striking hearts. They were singing of the glories of God, and this tone, these songs, these vibrations of sounds, were going out of the building where I was and drawing in multitudes. This sound was drawing in the lost, the broken, the sick. (Photo by Marybeth Stafford "Fear Not" via elijahshopper.com)
Suddenly, in the dream, I looked and I saw Bonnie and Mahesh Chavda there with a friend of mine: Debbie Lamunyon. As I looked out the windows, there were multitudes of people. They were standing in lines waiting to get into the building, for Great Revival had begun. As I looked out every window, the only thing I could see were lines of people waiting to get into the building where great signs and wonders were happening.
I woke up from the dream and I emailed James Goll, asking him his thoughts. He replied back, "I say this all the time: What goes up MUST come down."
Yes, I knew this to be the law of "Spiritual Gravity": What goes up MUST come down. When we pray, our voices arise like a fragrance right before the throne of God. He hears every prayer, every cry, every song, every plea – and He answers.
This is a season to look and expect God to break in. He is sending forth His Angels of Revival. We see in Psalm 104:4"He sends His angels like the winds, His servants like flames of fire."
These angels come to help us. We are approaching that which Bob Jones prophesied years ago – the greatest revival. The greatest harvest of the lost is approaching, and it's a season to pray and cry out for more. Cry out for the breaking in of the host of Heaven to go forth and strike the hearts of the lost. God is showing forth His mighty power, and we get to be a part of this great outpouring through prayer and then walking with Him in healing, signs, and wonders.
If you don't know what to pray, pray the apostolic prayers. One of my favorites is in 2 Thessalonians:
"Finally, dear brothers and sisters, we ask you to pray for us. Pray that the Lord's message will spread rapidly and be honored wherever it goes, just as when it came to you" (2 Thessalonians 3:1).
