Words of Prophecy
* A "spirit of provocation" is rooted and
grounded in fear and self-exaltation.
* If one will make the
"quality decision" to walk in love - even in the face of great provocation -
then they shall surely rise above the storm, and My peace will flood their heart
and mind. "quality
decision"- a decision of the heart from which there is no turning
back;
* A man/woman of understanding keeps silent [speaks
no "inordinate" word] in order to maintain his/her position on the path of
righteousness [righteous motivation]. For
ANY unwholesome [self-justifying] word
spoken [even in the face of great reproach and
provocation] is simply "fodder" for the Enemy to fuel the flames of
strife and division. "inordinate"
- excessive; unrestrained in conduct, feelings etc; disorderly;
uncontrolled;
"fodder" - raw
material;
"provocation" -
something that potentially incites, instigates, angers or irritates [in this case, the Enemy's attempt to move one apart
from walking in Love {righteousness}];
...."He
who belittles and despises his neighbor lacks sense, but a man of understanding
keeps silent. He who goes about as a talebearer reveals secrets, but he who is
trustworthy and faithful in spirit keeps the matter hidden".... Proverbs
11:12-13 The Amplified Translation
...."Let no foul or
polluting language, nor evil word nor unwholesome or worthless talk [ever] come
out of your mouth, but only such [speech] as is good and beneficial to the
spiritual progress of others, as is fitting to the need and the occasion, that
it may be a blessing and give grace (God's favor) to those who hear it...... Let
all bitterness and indignation and wrath (passion, rage, bad temper) and
resentment (anger, animosity) and quarreling (brawling, clamor, contention) and
slander (evil-speaking, abusive or blasphemous language) be banished from you,
with all malice (spite, ill will, or baseness of any kind)".... Ephesians
4:29,31 The Amplified Translation * A man/woman of
understanding [wisdom - revelation] keeps
"silent" in the face of "provocation" [persecution
- reproach] when called to. While those held captive by a "spirit of
self-righteousness" [spiritual pride] are
easily offended - and very quick to "justify" themselves [their own agenda] before flesh and blood.
* A man/woman of understanding [Wisdom] keeps silent in the face of "provocation"
- and, in the process, gains more and more understanding [revelation] concerning the Enemy's schemes, and
the "ground" from which he is working in that particular vessel of reproach.
...."The wicked flee when no one is pursuing, BUT the righteous
are bold as a lion".... Proverbs 28:1 NASB
...."Fear not, for you
will not be put to shame; And do not feel humiliated, for you will not be
disgraced".... Isaiah 54:4a NASB ...."No weapon that is formed
against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in
judgment you shall show [through your loving words and actions] to be in the
wrong. This [peace, righteousness, security, triumph over opposition] is the
heritage of the servants of the Lord [those in whom the ideal Servant of the
Lord is reproduced]; this is the righteousness or the vindication which they
obtain from Me [this is that which I impart to them as their justification],
says the Lord".... Isaiah 54:17 The Amplified
Translation
...."Have I not commanded you? Be strong and
courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you
wherever you go".... Joshua 1:9 NASB "fray" - altercation;
clash;
Every word spoken or written is to be defined not only by
their "outward" meaning but by the "spirit" [righteous or unrighteous]behind them.
Therefore, it is ALWAYS of the utmost importance when in a potentially
"unfriendly" environment to "consciously" seek [for, at times, the Enemy will attempt to jam one's
"reception" of the still, small voice of the Spirit]for perfect
discernment in ALL things - for, in doing so, one will know exactly what to do
or say [or remain silent as the case may
be]when "provocation" comes.
One of the great
benefits of "silence" [if called for in any
given situation]is that if the Enemy [remember our battle is NEVER against flesh and
blood] is allowed to talk long enough [through those he has held captive] he will
expose both himself and his aims. This is precisely why one ALWAYS needs to be
on guard - KNOWING [having a deep revelation of
the spiritual reality that] the Lord will go before them and be with
them in the midst of the "fray" to both guide and protect them. As one maintains
a "mind-set" of authority [and, indeed, EVERY
last child of God has GREAT authority in Christ] the righteousness
and Wisdom of God will flow forth through them - a righteousness and Wisdom
[both Kingdom-forces] that will cause
the Enemy and his schemes to be devastated at EVERY turn.
...."In the way of righteousness is life, and in its pathway
there is no death [no death - in ANY of its forms
{fear, darkness etc.} can remain standing {functional}]".... Proverbs
12:28 NASB |
