8 And once more
he bent down and wrote on the ground. 9 But when they heard it, they went
away one by one, beginning with the older ones, and Jesus was left alone with
the woman standing before him.
John 8: 8-9
John 8: 8-9
"There is
a divided land in your midst, would say the Lord. I AM drawing a line in the
sand. There is a line being drawn in the land between many different factions.
There is
hatred. There is prejudice; and there is the worst kind of hatred, even among my
own. I have called you to love all kind of men and women. It doesn't matter what
the color of their skin, or even of their background. For all of them are living
human beings.
It doesn't
matter if you are rich or poor. It doesn't matter if you are black or white, or
red or brown. I tell you that once an entire nation tried to form a perfect
race. Millions of my own people, the Jews, were exterminated. There is so much
hatred, and there is so much discrimination.
The land
will be filled-up. Your forerunner will lose ground at the appointed time. There
will be more bloodshed. There will be fighting in the street---even upon the
steps of the White House, for your nation is going to be turned upside
down.
Where is
the one they would follow? You stand upon a precipice. "
