The Holy Spirit is showing me that He wants to restore joy and bring restoration to His people. There is a great time of rejoicing coming to those who have been going through trying times. We have all been held captive to something in our lives, and the enemy is trying to enslave us once again through sickness, financial problems, family issues and other hardships. Throughout the Old Testament we read about the Israelites going in and out of captivity. In the book of Exodus, Pharoah held the Israelites in captivity. He refused to let Gods people go as Moses commanded, and the Lord sent plagues upon them. Then Pharoah ordered the taskmasters to increase their labor by forcing them to make bricks without straw. In Exodus chapter six, the Lord told Moses that He would bring them out because of His covenant with them. The bible says in the book of Hebrews that we have a better covenant established on better promises through Jesus Christ.
The book of Psalms speaks about how the Israelites rejoiced after their return from the exile. In the days of Nehemiah, when they came back from Persia at the decree of Ezra, they were rejoicing when they realized that they were able to go back and rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. They were so filled with joy that they described it as a dream.
The Lord says, I am rebuilding the walls that have been torn down by the enemy. Those things that have been demolished in your life will be rebuilt and restored. I will remove the heavy burdens and the weights that have weighed you down. Shackles are being broken, and captives are being released. The strongholds that have held you prisoner are coming off. I am releasing the prisoners of war, and returning them home once again. I will heal the brokenhearted and set the captives free.
Allow Me to release you from habits that you are not able to overcome, lifestyles that you are not able to change, and renew old mindsets and negative ways of thinking. Allow Me to be Lord over every area of your life. Allow Me to free you from the bondages that are keeping you from walking in freedom. Now is the time to be set free from religious mindsets and man made traditions. I will break the restraints that are holding you back from all that I have provided for you. Take the limits off Me in what I am able to do. Although you are in a difficult season, victory shall be yours and joy and laughter shall be restored back to you. This is the Covenant that I have made with you; says the Lord.
Psalms 126:1-6 When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them. The Lord hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad. Turn again our captivity, O Lord, as the streams in the south.
They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.
Jeremiah 29:14 I will be found by you," declares the Lord, "and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you," declares the Lord, "and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile."
Hebrews 8:6 But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises.
