September has begun and the days are hurtling towards Rosh Hashanah on the 13th.Personally I am experiencing pressure in the Spirit unlike anything I have felt before and I have sensed an urgency to finish sending out the transcripts of the podcasts I have done in recent weeks before we step over into a new chapter in God's calendar, Are you ready to come away with Him? Have you loosed yourself from the things which bind you to Egypt and the world system as far as is possible? Dense darkness, darkness that can be felt  is already falling over portions of the globe and yet in the houses of those set apart by the blood of the Lamb, there is light and revelation and increasing clarity concerning their focus and priority. Remember part of the transition bridge is reorientation - a focus on what lies ahead and a forgetting of what lies behind.

The Lamb is to be our sole delight and our eyes must be fixed upon Him as we walk over the threshold into  a new season. Let the systems of this world crumble and fall. His Church is preparing to arise, clothed with the glory of the Lord. Yet some are struggling to disentangle themselves emotionally from the place they have been in for so many years. Please share this transcript with any you know who are hesitating and experiencing fear at leaving the familiar, even the familiarity of the things of this world.

I’m going to continue discussing the 10 plagues of Egypt, which were like birth pangs thrusting God’s people out of Egypt, out of the worship of idols and into a marriage relationship with Himself at Mount Sinai. I’ve done the first 3 plagues and I now want to go on to discuss the 4^th plague, which was the plague of gadflies or mosquitoes

I said in my last message that this was the plague where there was a dividing line put between the Egyptians and God’s people. In Exodus 8:21, God says: ‘“If you will not let My people go, I will send swarms of gadflies or mosquitoes upon your servants, your people and into your houses and the houses of the Egyptians shall be full of swarms and also on the ground on which they stand, but on that day I will sever and set apart the land of Goshen in which My people dwell, that no swarms may be there, so that you may know that I am the Lord in the midst of the earth and I will put a division and a sign of deliverance between My people and your people. By tomorrow this sign will be in evidence’ and the Lord did so and there came oppressive swarms into the house of Pharaoh and his servants and in all the land of Egypt the land was corrupted and ruined by reason of the great invasion”..
Keep in mind that God said He would put a separation between the Egyptians and those of His people who are dwelling in Goshen. Remember Goshen means ‘drawing near’, so it speaks of a place of intimacy; the dwelling in the secret place with the Lord like Psalm 91 speaks of. That word for swarms caught my eye and that word means ‘to traffic, to braid and to mingle yourselves’. To braid means to take 3 strands and to plait them and if you remember, it says in Ecclesiastes 4:12 that “a threefold cord is not easily broken. A threefold cord is a picture of a marriage relationship of a husband, a wife and the Lord; a braid tightly woven together, but when there is a braiding and an intermixing with the world, the world values and the world system, then it’s an unholy marriage and the Supreme Court decision on Homosexual marriage brings this topic into the spotlight.

The other word that ‘swarms’ means is ‘to traffic’ and to ‘traffic’ means: ‘to barter or give as security’. I had a look where else in the Word this word ‘traffic, braid or intermix’ was used and I found it in Ezra 9:1 where it says: “Afterwards the officials came to me and said, ‘The Israelites and priests have not separated themselves from the people of the land, but have committed the abominations of the Canaanites, Hittites, Perizzites, Jebusites, Ammonites, Moabites, Egyptians and Amorites, for they have taken as wives some of their daughters for themselves and for their sons so that the holy offspring have mixed themselves with the people of the lands’” and in Psalm 106:35 it uses the same word. It says: “they mingled themselves with the idolatrous nations and learned their ways and their works and served their idols which were a snare to them”. Now the important thing here, is when God calls us to ‘come out of Babylon’ or to come out of the world and its ways, you would have to leave the globe completely to come out of it, but what He’s talking about, is the world or Babylon not being within His Church.

The Israelites and the Priests were living in the presence of the Canaanites, the Jebusites, the Moabites, the Amorites, but they were not separating themselves and their ways and their mode of living from that of the unsaved people around them and they mixed themselves with them. You know the Word says: “Do not yoke yourselves together with unbelievers, for what fellowship can light have with darkness and what has a Believer have in common with an unbeliever?” and it’s really speaking of a marriage and of not mixing yourselves in that way with the peoples of the land. As the people of God, when we marry or braid ourselves or intermingle ourselves with that which is ungodly within the Church, that makes God angry, because the world is not supposed to be in the Church. We are meant to be in the world, but not of the world and so it’s interesting that God sends swarms to fill the houses of those who are called Egyptians, who were labelled as being of the world, but those that were in Goshen had no swarms in their houses.

Are you in the world and not of the world, or are you trafficking, trading and bartering? To barter means: ‘to trade for security or provision of some kind’ and Babylon was called ‘the Land of Trade’. In Ezekiel 17:4 it says: ‘He broke off the top most of the twigs and carried it into a Land of Trade and set it in a City of Merchants’. So, there’s a whole sense of buying and selling and bartering. There’s a buying and selling of one’s soul and allegiance in return for safety and provision. So the plague of mosquitoes is related to mixture, mingling with Babylon. When we see laws being passed in the world, we shouldn’t be surprised, because they are not believers. They live the way they want to live and we don’t have a say over that, but when we as the Church are starting to look like what’s going on in the world, that’s what God’s referring to. When He says, “Come out of Babylon”, He means to get Babylon out of us in a spiritual sense, so that we don’t share with her plagues, because if you’ve got Babylon in you, if your house is actually labelled as a house of the Egyptians, because the world is found within you and the ways of the world and the love of the world is found within you, then the swarms will attack you.
It says in Exodus, ‘the land was ruined and corrupted by reason of the great invasion’. It makes me think of those locusts which John saw, that were released from the pit or the Abyss. A great invasion corrupted and ruined the land. As I was pondering on all these things, I wanted to understand exactly what God was trying to say to me for this present day application and I had a look at what Pharaoh was offering the people of God when Moses said: “Let my people go!” and in Exodus 8, it says that after the 3^rd plague, Pharaoh said to Moses that the people of God could sacrifice to their God, but within Egypt, in the sight of the Egyptians. In Exodus 8:26 it says: “And Moses said: ‘It is not suitable or right to do that, for the animals the Egyptians hold sacred and will not permit to be slain, are those we are accustomed to sacrifice to the Lord our God. If we did this before their eyes would they not stone us? We will go on a 3 day journey into the Wilderness and sacrifice to the Lord our God as He will command us’”. Now that 3 day journey is an allusion to the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. What Moses was essentially saying, in a type and a shadow, was that the people of God wanted to put the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, a distance of the cross and all that was accomplished by it, between the world and it’s ways and the people of God and their ways. God does require us to put to death the deeds of darkness and the flesh and we must put that 3 days distance between the people of God and the Egyptians and their Idols (or the world and the things they idolise and hold valuable and the things they worship). Moses’ request was for freedom of religion, to put to death that which the Egyptians worshiped.

We see the same today occurring in this arena with the Supreme Court judgement in America, but Pharaoh’s heart will be hardened. The people of God will not be given permission to worship and sacrifice to their God in the sight of the Egyptians openly, chiefly because the enemy doesn’t want the people of God to be worshiping. He doesn’t want the people of God to have freedom of religion and so we can’t expect that, but within our hearts there must be a 3 day distance between the Egyptians and their idols and ourselves as the people of God. The cross of Christ must be between us and a worldly ungodly lifestyle of any sort.

Do you remember when the angels came to Lot just before God judged Sodom and Gomorrah? The angels were in the town square and Lot went to them and said, “Come and spend the night with me” and they said, “O no, we’ll spend all night in the town square” and Lot pleaded with them and brought them into his house, because he knew it wasn’t safe in the square. He knew what went on and I want us to go and look at that passage with Lot again, because there’s some keys in there as to how to deal with the things that are happening in the earth in this day and especially in the western nations where we’re having to face these ungodly judgments that are being passed. You know, I really believe the Lord is using these things to stir up the heart of the Bride and to stir up and provoke the Church of Christ just to examine what they believe and what is truth and what isn’t truth, because there’s been a lot of passivity in the Church of Jesus Christ and the world has just crept into the Church. Judgement begins with the House of God. So, when we see these things being passed in the world, we need to look in the mirror at ourselves and see in what way uncleanness and perversity and a lack of alignment to the truth of the Word of God is present in our own hearts and in the Church of Jesus Christ.

So let’s look at Lot. In Genesis 19:1 it says: “It was evening when the two angels came to Sodom”. Do you remember I spoke to you about the evening watch which occurred just before the beginning of a new day (the day of the Lord) and darkness is about to fall? It was then that the angels or messengers came to Sodom in order to bring Lot out of that place, because he was righteous in God’s sight and God didn’t want him to suffer with the judgement that was coming on Sodom. It says: “Lot rose up to meet them and bowed to the ground”. These were the Messengers of Judgement, the messengers carrying the message warning of imminent judgment: “Come out of her that you may not share in her plagues! “ And Lot said to them ‘Turn aside into your servant’s house and spend the night there and bathe your feet. Then you can arise early and go on your way’. But they said, ‘No, we will spend the night in the square’” and I looked up that word for ‘square’ in the Hebrew. Do you know that it means ‘the broad place’? This was really a test for Lot, because the messengers were saying: we’re going to spend the coming night in the broad place, but Beloved, that’s not the place to spend the coming night. “Narrow is the way that leads to life and few find it”. The square outside, the open air, in the midst of the world and it’s ways, is not a safe place to spend the coming night that is coming upon the earth. ‘Broad is the way that leads to destruction’. You’ve got to choose the narrow way now. We’re in the evening watch and night is falling.
“And Lot  urged and entreated them greatly and they yielded and they entered his house” and it says in Gen 19:3, he made them a dinner (or a banquet) and they had unleavened bread which he baked, which speaks of the leaven of sin not being present within Lot’s house and that’s a very important thing to note there. But before they went to sleep, the men of the city of Sodom came and hammered on the door and surrounded the house, both young and old and they called to Lot and they wanted the men to be brought out to them so that they could sodomise them and Lot went out of the door and shut the door after him. He kept the Angels in the house to keep them safe, but he went out to engage the men of Sodom.
In his house there was unleavened bread, but Lot went outside and he wanted to debate with these men and he said: “Don’t behave so wickedly” and he offered them his daughters and he was saying to them, “Don’t do anything to these men; they are under the protection of my roof. Behave like normal men and have sexual relations with women”. In a sense he was speaking about the homosexual agenda versus having sexual intimacy God’s way (although God’s way would have been within marriage), but he was entering into a debate with these men and that enraged them and they felt that he was judging them, because he was rebuking them concerning what they wanted to do and telling them that there was a right way to have sex and they said to him: ‘“This fellow came to live here temporarily. He is a sojourner and now he presumes to be our judge. Now we will deal worse with you than with them!” and they rushed and pressed violently against Lot and came close to breaking down the door”.

I want to say that I really believe there’s a warning from the Spirit of God in this passage, for Christians at this time concerning the judgments that have been passing in the world system: that now, as we go past the evening watch into the first watch of the night, it’s not the time to go out and engage with that unclean spirit and debate face to face concerning what is right and what is not right, because that spirit is going to attack you and press violently against you and want to do you great damage.
You know, we see this Christian couple who owns the bakery who refused to bake a wedding cake... it’s been huge news! They’ve encountered huge damages financially and now a gag order has been placed on them forbidding them to speak about what they believe. Now, in a sense, that’s almost like Lot debating with the men of Sodom saying, “This is not the right way to live”. It’s not time to debate. It’s not time to speak about what is right and wrong. Wicked men are behaving wickedly and the wicked will continue being more wicked, but let the righteous now be righteous. It’s time, just like it was time to put Noah in the ark and shut the door, it’s time for the people of God to come inside, come into the secret place and let God seal the door.

Those angels pulled Lot into the house and they sealed the door and struck the men outside with blindness so that they couldn’t find the door. Now eyes are organs that see. Blindness means that light has been removed, that there’s a hiddenness that’s come over Lot, that Lot has been veiled and hidden in the secret place, in a sense. Just as the Lord sealed the door after Noah, those angels struck the men who were at the door of the house with blindness and they couldn’t find the door to get in.

Remember that Jesus said: “I am the door”. Jesus also said He came to make those who can see, blind and those who are blind, to see and so these men who were harassing Lot and his visitors, claimed to see, claimed to have light, claimed to have revelation, claimed to know the truth and the right way. It wasn’t the time for Lot to go out and debate with them. It was time for him to be in that house and to be sealed and hidden and it is the door, it’s the door that comes between Lot and those men. Jesus, who is the Door, comes between Lot and the men of Sodom. Just like with Moses and the Egyptians, there was a 3 day’s journey that they wanted to put between the Egyptians and their idols and the people of God and the true God that they served. God’s messengers are being sent at this time to shut you in and to seal you and put a separation between you and what is unclean. That separation will not be able to be penetrated, but you have to put Jesus Christ and what He’s done on the cross through the death and resurrection of the Son of God between you and the outside world.

It’s time now for dealings within your own house, within your own heart, because that’s where you have to come out of Sodom. That’s where you have to come out of Babylon and be separate so that you don’t share in her plagues, because you have to get Sodom out of you, before you can leave Sodom and not share in her plagues. You have to get Babylon out of your own heart. It’s no good coming out of the world and going and sitting on a mountaintop, if within your own heart the ways of Babylon and the inter-mixture and the inter-braiding and the trafficking and the lack of adherence to the Word of God has taken place, because the coming judgement is a spiritual judgement. God judges the Church of God before He judges the world.

That is why there’s such an urgency for dealing with our own hearts, for repenting for the height from which we have fallen, for abandoning our first love, for having love affairs with the world as James speaks: Wash your soiled hands and become clean and repent and the Lord will receive us.
So, if we look at what occurred with Lot, the angels pull him into the house, they seal him in by striking the men with blindness and the men weary themselves, but they can’t find the door. They can’t find Jesus; they can’t find the way to come into the place of Goshen. They’re not finding that Door. They’re not going to find it, because they have been struck with blindness. In almost the same way as the Lord veiled the eyes of the Jews in order to graft the Gentiles in, Jesus came to make seeing men blind and to make blind men see and we’re living in those days, but we need to obey the messengers of God and we need to come apart and listen. Listen to what the Spirit of God is saying to us. Drink of the fountain of Living Water within our own hearts. Drink and allow the Holy Spirit to minister and cleanse our hearts, so that the uncleanness of Babylon/Sodom, whatever you want to call it, comes out of our hearts - every area where there is intermixing and braiding and trafficking within our own hearts.

You know, when they came to arrest Jesus, Jesus said: “He has nothing in Me” and I want to say to you: does Satan have anything in you? Because if he does, then that plague of mosquitoes, that swarm, that causes great corruption and devastation in the land, is going to fill your house too. You’ve got to understand that we have to be filled with light. We are children of the light and you know the angels said to Lot: “Have you got anyone else in this town, in this city, to bring out of this place? Do you have anybody else, for we are going to destroy Sodom, because the shriek against its people has grown great in front of the Lord and He has sent us to destroy it” and it says: “Lot went out again and he spoke to his sons-in-law, who were men of Sodom, who were to marry his daughters and said: ‘Get up. Get out of this place, for the Lord will spoil and destroy this city’, but his sons-in-law laughed at him”.
Now, in the first place, why had Lot betrothed his daughters to men of Sodom when God specifically said, “Do not mix yourselves with the heathen, with the unclean”. Do you remember in Ezra, that was the complaint - they have intermarried and intermixed themselves with the Canaanites, the Ammonites, the Whoeverites? Well, Lot had done the same thing to his poor daughters. He betrothed them to unclean men and then he was offering them to unclean men hammering on the door. Oh dear, not such wise decisions, but in Gen. 19:15 it says: “When morning came”, that’s the morning watch after 3 watches of darkness, from 6 o’clock at night until 3 o’clock the next day, “...’, while he hesitated, while he doubted... You know, delayed obedience is disobedience. Those angels, because of God’s mercy, seized him and his wife and two daughters, because the Lord was merciful to them ‘and they brought him forth and set him aside the city and left him there’.

You know that Lot means “veiled”. How interesting that is. In this night of darkness, after the harassment from the men of Sodom, in this day that begins at 6 pm, which I believe is the Day of the Lord beginning, there are first 3 watches of darkness when the angels that God has sent are reasoning and urging Lot to separate himself in every way possible from Sodom and its ways. In the morning watch, Lot is thrust out of Sodom. He is brought forth. In a sense it’s a birthing. The Word says, in the day when the Son of Man is revealed, will He find faith in the earth? That word ‘revealed’ is ‘apocalypto’ and it means ‘to take off the cover, to reveal’ and in a sense Lot, which means ‘veiled’, was brought forth or revealed outside of the city. He was revealed as one of God’s children. He was revealed as separate from Sodom. He was unveiled in a sense. Isn’t the whole of creation waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God? Now the ‘manifestation’ means the ‘revealing’ of the sons of God.

How are the sons of God going to be revealed and when are the sons of God going to be revealed? They’re going to be revealed on that morning watch of the Day of the Lord when there comes a permanent separation between them and Sodom. Firstly there’s a separation by the door being closed and sealed. In Noah’s case, it meant being shut in the ark, with the door sealed and the ark walked on the water, while all that was flesh was destroyed by the flood. In Lot’s case, separation entailed being pulled inside, by the door being shut, the men being struck with blindness and then in the morning watch completely leaving and coming out and being separate from Sodom as judgement fell.
Of course, Lot’s wife turned back and judgement hit her. When it says, she was turned into a pillar of salt it sounds quite picturesque, but in actual fact she was completely burnt up. There were just mineral salts left when the fire and brimstone fell on her, leaving a monument to depict those who put their hand to the plough and turn back.

Jesus came that those who see may be made blind. We find that in John 9:39. He says: “I came into this world for judgement as a separator in order that there may be separation between those who believe in Me and those who reject Me, to make the sightless see and to make those who see become blind”. What a startling statement that is. In John 10:2, we find this statement: “He who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. The watchman opens the door for this man and the sheep listen to his voice and heed it and he calls his own sheep by name and brings them out and when he has brought his own sheep outside, he walks on before them and they follow him, because they know his voice. ‘I am the Door. Anyone who enters in through Me will be saved. He will come in and he will go out and find pasture’”. So it says there that Jesus is the Door and the watchman opens the Door, the watchman opens the Door of Christ. It was the angels, the messengers of God who was sent, that opened the door and pulled Lot inside. He was hidden in Christ in the secret place during the 3 watches of darkness. And Jesus, when He was referring to the incident with Lot, said in Luke 17:28 “So also it is the same as it was in the days of Lot. People ate and drank, they bought, they sold (there we have the trafficking and the trading), they planted, they built, but on the very day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. That is the way it will be on the day when the Son of Man is revealed”. Did you hear that? That is the way it will be on the day when the Son of Man is ‘revealed’, brought into plain sight. How is the Son of Man going to be revealed? He’s going to be revealed within His people who are true Believers. He’s going to be manifested when the sons of God are manifested and they’re manifested in the morning watch.

Psalm 110 says: “Out of the womb of the morning, spring forth your young men, your sons who are as the dew”. Jesus warned, when He was speaking about that day when the Son of Man is revealed, in Luke 17: 31 He says: “On that day, let him who’s on the housetop with his belongings, not come down to carry them away and let him who is in the field not turn back”. He’s speaking about it being sudden and there being no time left and He says: “Remember Lot’s wife! Whoever tries to preserve his life will lose it” and a little bit later He goes on to say: “There will be two men in a bed. One will be taken and one will be left” and that word for ‘taken’ means, (in Greek, its ‘paralambano’) ‘to receive near, to associate with oneself, to receive’. It’s speaking about intimacy. So, those who are ‘taken’ are those who are taken into intimacy in Goshen, taken in, to be hidden in Christ in that day, hidden in the secret place of His presence.

There are 3½ watches of the night, before the light starts to dawn on a new day and there will be 3½ watches of darkness, during which there will be gross darkness upon the peoples. For the 1^st watches of the night when it gets darker and darker, the people of God must be hidden and sealed within the house. It’s not a time to be outside debating and taking on the cause and standing up face to face and head to head with perversity and uncleanness and hoping to make a headway, because that spirit will destroy you. You are making yourself a target. Now is not the time to be standing up. Now is the time to be going inside, examining your own heart and letting there become a separation within yourself between light and darkness and putting a 3 day journey between you and the people of Egypt and their idols and the world and its ways. Put that 3 day journey of the death and resurrection of Christ between, because Jesus who is the Door, is the only door that will seal you and separate you from destruction in this day.

Do you remember when I told you about what happened just before the destruction of the Temple in 70 AD, that for 3½ years the Shekinah glory cloud of God abode on the Mount of Olives. It left the Temple and it went to abide on the Mount of Olives, which was outside the city and there was a voice from heaven urging people to repent and return to God and then it left. Now, in the same sense, there is a calling to the people of God to withdraw... (It’s a thing that happens within your heart). I’m not saying to you have nothing to do with unbelievers, not talking to those who are unsaved, who are in ungodly lifestyles, but I’m saying: now is not the time to enter into theological debates. You know, I just read yesterday that some man is suing a Bible Publisher, because of verses on homosexuality in the Bibles that he has printed. Now the Bible has been in existence for thousands of years. You cannot hold the Publisher responsible for those words. He is just publishing a Bible. The Word is the same from the beginning, it is truth and there’s ludicrous things going on in the legal courts and in the public discourses and in the open squares where there are debates and people on their soap boxes. It’s not time for Christians to be getting on their soap boxes now. It’s really not! You will be taken out by that unclean spirit! Its desire is to destroy you. You need to come inside and put the Door, who is Jesus, between you and what is unclean, as darkness falls and it’s time now to examine your own hearts, because judgement is coming on the Church of Jesus Christ first and we need to repent for our own unclean hearts.
You know when the Angels came to Sodom, Lot was sitting in the gate. That’s the place where the judges sit. Now he was probably sitting there and judging and looking upon what was going on in Sodom and thinking how unclean it was, but there was an appointment for Lot, an appointment of separation within his own house. He had to separate from his sons-in-law who were betrothed to his daughters and unbeknown to Lot, he was also going to be separated from the wife of his bosom, because she turned back. It’s time to allow the spirit of judgement and burning to work within our hearts, to work within our homes.

There’s unleavened bread in our homes. We’re eating of it, we’re eating of the unleavened bread which is Christ, within our homes, just as those Israelites ate the whole lamb with the blood upon the doorposts and the lintels of their houses while there was the judgement of the firstborn of Egypt outside; just like the Israelites had light in their houses when the plague of darkness came upon Egypt. There is a separation, but it’s a separation depending upon what’s in the heart, depending upon how right are we with the Word. Are we aligned to the Word? Has this two-edged sword which is the Word of the living God become our sword? Are we fully aligned or is there some hammering out that needs to happen there?
So I just wanted to release that warning, because I’m seeing a thing within the people of God that they’re feeling it’s now time to stand up on soap boxes and tackle this issue of gay marriage and I don’t believe it is. The world will continue doing what the world does, but the question is: will the Church continue doing what the world does? God’s showing us a mirror when these things happen in the world, because the state of a nation is directly linked to what the Church has been up to for the last decades. We have to cleanse our own soiled hands. Is the love of the world and its ways in us? Are we having adultery with the world? Have we left the Husband which we’re betrothed to or are we set apart as pure virgins for Christ?

That was Paul’s unction and urging with the Churches, that he wanted to present them as pure virgins to Christ. He was their custodian and in a sense almost as the Holy Spirit is for all of us, He wants to lead us into all truth and it’s really time now as darkness falls in the world and the wicked become more wicked, let the righteous be righteous still. Don’t waste your time in vain and foolish arguments. You’re not going to win an argument with the ungodly and with the unclean spirit and with the perverse, but you live differently, you live as a light and a city set on a hill, you live as a standard of righteousness and let your lives display the difference and leave the rest in God’s hands, because it’s time for our houses to be clean. It’s time for judgement to begin with the house of God. It’s time for the spirit of judgement and burning to work within our own houses. It’s not time now to stand in the law courts and fight with the ungodly.
Remember the plague of gadflies or mosquitoes, they come upon those who have inter-mixed and inter-braided themselves with the world and its ways. Let’s examine our own hearts. Let’s not point fingers when there are logs in our own eyes at this time. May the Lord bless this word and add to it truth as He ministers to you in the secret place, as you drink from the fountain of life and wash with the water of the Word, in the mikvah, in the pool, that is underneath your own living room floor as I spoke about last time.
