Hidden in the Shadow of His Wings – Transcript of Podcast and extra Insights by Christine Beadsworth
As I was transcribing this message, the Lord began
giving extra insight, so I have added it into the transcript. I pray I have
expressed it clearly.
I just wanted to share a warning I have heard from
the Spirit of the Lord. Remember I said last time that we are hidden in a cave
or tomb in a sense, being prevented from crossing into the light of full
manifestation? I had a sense from the Lord recently that this is also for our
protection. Do you remember when the spies visited Rahab and she prophesied the
downfall of Jericho and the victory of the people of God, but she also hid them
on her roof under the flax while the king’s soldiers were looking for them? In a
sense, that hiding is what the Spirit of the Lord is doing now. The enemy king
wants to kill the spies who have spied out the strongholds which are holding the
Bride-to be captive. Jericho was a centre of moon worship – a picture of a
stronghold of idolatry or the worship of self situated in the promised land. Now
spies have entered that stronghold in order to assess it. News is travelling.
Just as the grapevine works in the world (and in the church), so too news
travels in the strongholds of the kingdom of darkness. So it is really important
for our own safety to remain hidden and wait for perfect timing. I know all of
us are longing to be released from the stall, where we skip about like calves as
Malachi 4 mentions, but there is an incredible importance of precision timing in
this season.
As Rahab counselled the spies at Jericho to hide for 3 days
because the soldiers of the king of Jericho was looking for them, it’s not yet
time to cross the threshold into the new season, because the enemy is looking
for us. Remember it was during the 3 days preparation for crossing the Jordan by
God’s people that the spies entered Jericho and met Rahab. Spies possess inside
information and keys concerning enemy strongholds which the kingdom of darkness
does not want relayed to the waiting people of God. Those forerunners who do not
heed the call to hide at this time, will find themselves injured either
physically, emotionally or spiritually because the enemy wants to take you out
the minute you step into plain view.
David had to hide from Saul. He
spent a season dodging Saul’s arrows and then there was a season of fleeing and
hiding from the spirit that controlled Saul. Jonathan who had a friendship
covenant with David, used to warn him when Saul was after him, as we read in 1
Samuel 20. David also had to flee from his son Absolom, the usurper, and if you
read in 2 Samuel 17, there was a lot of strategising going on as to how to catch
David. Men who supposedly had the counsel of the Lord were called on for advice.
Chapter 17 is a very confusing chapter because someone told someone else
information and they were overheard by a third person, who ran to carry the
message. (Isn’t this just how gossip is passed on in the church?). One has to
read this chapter very carefully to understand the chain of information that
flowed but the gist of it is that a son of Zadok and another lad also called
Jonathan (which means ‘gift of God’) were staying out of the city at a place
called En Rogel, which means ‘fountain of a gossip or slanderer’. So that’s not
a great environment to be staying but it’s pretty much where those loyal to the
house of David are situated at this present time – these two were holed up there
because they didn’t want to be seen coming in and out of Jerusalem by those
loyal to Absalom. One of the maidservants heard the strategy spoken to Absolom
for catching David and his men, and she ran and told these two young men at En
Rogel. She was obviously quietly loyal to the house of David. However, someone
loyal to Absolom saw her telling the news and went and told Absolom.
In
the mean time, this Jonathan and the son of Zadok went quickly to a town called
Bahurim (which means ‘choice young men’). Notice they moved location from the
place of slander to the place of the chosen men of quality. It’s important to
choose your company very wisely in these dangerous days – leave the environment
of gossip and slander and protect your ear gates from the accuser of the
brethren!! At Bahurim, they hid in a well and a woman spread a covering over the
mouth of the well and poured ground corn over it. So here is a good bit of
advice for those loyal to the house of David. Hide in the well of revelation and
living water and be covered over and shut your mouth, cover it at this time so
that you will be safe and hidden from view as these choice young men were. When
the danger was past, they came out and went quickly to David to give him the
warning and he crossed over the fords of the Jordan.
2Sa
17:21 After they had departed, the boys came up out of the well and
went and told King David, and said, Arise and pass quickly over the river
Jordan; for thus and so has Ahithophel counseled against you. 2Sa 17:22 David
arose and all the people with him and passed over the Jordan. By daybreak, not
one was left who had not crossed.
Timing is crucial. There is
counsel against you and the enemy has spies in the least likely places, so it is
important to hide when the Lord says to hide. And it’s important to cross
quickly when it’s time to cross, so that all who are with David have crossed
over by daybreak. Don’t be found on the wrong side of the river Jordan when the
light of the day that burns like an oven breaks forth...That river Jordan marks
a separation between the house of David and those working for the
enemy.
Remember Ruth hid at the feet of the Kinsman Redeemer during the
darkest part of the morning watch, while he filled her mantle with grain to take
home to her widowed mother in law. Then he counselled her to leave the threshing
floor before one could recognise another, so she would not be seen. I really
believe we are in a time when we are individually receiving an outpouring of
heaven’s grain into our widow’s mantle. Its dark around and the rest of the
church is asleep but there is a conversation going on between the Bride-to-be
and the Bridegroom and an a resulting impartation of 6 measures of revelation
and light from the lamps of the Lord before the throne – a provision we need in
order to be found perfect, lacking nothing as day breaks. We gathered one
measure by our own efforts but there are 6 more allotted to those who will lie
quietly at the Bridegroom’s feet until He says to leave this place of hiddennes.
The seven measures speak of the fullness of the seven spirits of
God.
Rth 3:15 Also he said, Bring the mantle you are wearing and
hold it. So [Ruth] held it, and he measured out six measures of barley and laid
it on her. And she went into the town.
WE need to bring our mantle
and ‘HOLD’ it until it is full, not leave after receiving only a portion of what
He wants to pour out within us. Hold your mantle until the full weight of the
revelation God wants to give you has poured into it, because the widow woman,
the church who has no voice of the Bridegroom, is sitting in the House of Bread,
urgently needing real meat. Don’t leave or step out until you have received the
full measure of understanding God wants to give you.
WE read in 1 Sam
23:15 that David was hiding from Saul:
1Sa 23:14 David remained in
the wilderness strongholds in the hill country of the Wilderness of Ziph. Saul
sought him every day, but God did not give him into his hands. 1Sa 23:15 David
saw that Saul had come out to seek his life. David was in the Wilderness of Ziph
in the wood [at Horesh].
David was hiding in a region called Ziph,
which means ‘pitch or asphalt’. Do you remember Noah’s ark was covered with
pitch and he was hidden and covered by the redemption price, which pitch is a
symbol of. So too, David was hidden in a similar place, waiting for God’s TIMING
to make him king. He had been anointed and appointed, but had not yet ascended
and been set in place. This is the warning I am hearing at this time: we know
that we are appointed to reign as kings in the coming season but the house of
Saul is seeking to kill and cut off our futures and the manifestation of Christ
we bring - and so we must wait, hidden by the blood of the Bridal price until
God’s appointed timing. Interestingly, the word for ‘wood’ where David was
hiding means ‘to engrave, plough, hold your peace, leave off from speaking, to
speak not a word’. I really felt that was what the Spirit is emphasising right
now. Sometimes you hold your ground in the Spirit by holding your peace. Say
nothing and allow the Lord to finish engraving upon your heart the revelation He
wants to impart to you, while you wait for His precision timing to raise you
up.
I also had a sense that in this dark part of the morning watch, the
reason why God is saying ‘put a finger to your lips’ is that He is preparing a
corporate arrow as Isaiah 49 speaks of; a polished arrow that He has hidden in
the shadow of His hand. Polishing removes every last vestige of crookedness in
your understanding, any rough places which could cause you to wobble at the
velocity the Lord is going to send you out. These arrows are totally straight
and destined to pierce the target. When an arrow is launched, there is no sound.
God is preparing a surprise attack on the enemy in the last stage of the morning
watch and so it’s important for our own voice to be silenced at this time, so we
do not unwittingly alert the enemy. We must be fully surrendered in the Lord’s
hand at this time. Be trustworthy with the revelation you are receiving, don’t
display your whole armoury to the enemy! Just as armies launch attacks on the
enemy camp in the darkness of the morning watch, so the Lord of Hosts is wanting
to utter His voice before His army and call them forth to
war.
Isa 49:1 LISTEN TO me, O isles and
coastlands, and hearken, you peoples from afar. The Lord has called me from the
womb; from the body of my mother He has named my name. Isa 49:2 And He has made
My mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of His hand He has hidden Me, and
made Me a polished shaft. He has hidden Me in His quiver, Isa 49:3 and said to
Me, You are My servant, O Israel, in whom I will be glorified.
The
Lord is calling us forth by name from the womb of the morning as we offer
ourselves willingly, as psalm 110 speaks of. Arrows are silent weapons. They
rain down upon the enemy at such a speed that he is completely unaware of the
approach. This is why the Lord is warning us to be silent as He finishes the
final touches within us and fits us into His bow. There must be no earthly or
soulish voice heard, so the enemy is taken by surprise.
You know the
stars in the heavens release no earthly sound but by the virtue of their
positioning by the hand of God in the heavenlies, they release a sound, a
message and vibration that reaches to the end of the earth.
Psa
19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the expanse proclaims
His handiwork. Psa 19:2 Day to day pours forth speech, and night to night
reveals knowledge. Psa 19:3 There is no speech nor are there words; their voice
is not heard. Psa 19:4 Their line has gone out through all the earth and their
words to the end of the world. In them He has set a tabernacle for the sun, Psa
19:5 and he comes forth as a bridegroom from his canopy; he rejoices as a
strong man to run a race,
‘To proclaim His handiwork’ means to
‘manifest His actions’ so these stars are actually working the works of God.
There is no earthly voice coming from them, yet their line, their voice, goes
out through all the earth. They are saying something just by the way they are
positioned, in alignment with others God has positioned them with. Verse 4 tells
us that God is setting a tabernacle or tent for the sun in ‘them’. God is
forming a ‘tent’ or tabernacle for the Son of Righteousness in those who are
shining like stars, positioned in the heavenly realm. We are the tent for the
Son of Righteousness. This is the tent of David that God is raising up. It is
God’s hand which places the stars in their fixed appointed places to give light
and revelation and direction on the earth. Just as David had to wait to be fixed
in his appointed place of rule, so too those of the house of David (who make up
the tent of David), appointed to be filled with the presence of the Son of
Righteousness, must wait to be raised up and set in place.
Where it says
in verse 4 that ‘their line has gone out through all the earth’, the word for
‘line’ in Hebrew means ‘a musical string, musical note or rule’. A vocal chord
is a musical string and we are His instrument. As we become perfectly tuned to
the pitch of Heaven and release a sound - even through our body language, our
line or sound goes out through all the earth. We have no concept of how much
effect full surrender to the Lord’s instruction has in the spiritual realm. God
is preparing His tent, a corporate assembly of the wise who are shining like
stars as we hold out the word of life.
Psa 19:5 and he comes forth
as a bridegroom from his canopy; he rejoices as a strong man to run a
race,
The Bridegroom is coming forth from His canopy or ‘chuppah’.
This word in Hebrew means ‘veiled’. We are His veiled ones, His chamber and He
is coming forth out of us as a strong man to run His course. The phrase ‘coming
forth’ means ‘to shoot as an arrow’. What a holy mystery; Christ in us is the
hope of glory and as we are hidden in the hand of the Father, the Bridegroom
comes forth from us, His chamber as the Son of Righteousness, mighty El Gobor
running His course and nothing is hid from the heat thereof.
Psa
45:3 Gird Your sword upon Your thigh, O mighty One, in Your glory and Your
majesty!
Our mouths have been made a sharp sword, according to
Isaiah 49 but we are to be hidden and girded upon the thigh of the mighty One.
The sword of the Bridegroom is hidden until the appointed moment of being
wielded. So we must be silent when He calls us to be silent, so that we are
ready to strike when He instructs us to strike.
Psa 45:4 And in Your
majesty ride on triumphantly for the cause of truth and righteousness
(uprightness and right standing with God); and let Your right hand guide You to
tremendous things. Psa 45:5 Your arrows are sharp; the peoples fall under You;
Your darts pierce the hearts of the King's enemies.
The right hand
of the Bridegroom wields the sword for the cause of truth and righteousness. His
arrows pierce the hearts of His enemies. In this pre-dawn time, God is preparing
a corporate arrow to pierce the hearts of His enemies. I saw in a vision a rain
of arrows released silently in the darkness of the morning watch, from a single
location, and they fell all over the earth. Out of the womb of the morning, a
rain of arrows falls silently like dew upon the earth, hitting the camp of the
enemy as one. Zec 9:13 For I have bent Judah for Myself as My bow,
filled the bow with Ephraim as My arrow, and will stir up your sons, O Zion,
against your sons, O Greece, and will make you [Israel] as the sword of a mighty
man.
The word used for ‘bow’ in this scripture also means ‘the
iris of the eye’. We know that the Word tells us if the eye is sound, the whole
body is full of light. God is guarding us as the apple of His eye right now and
filling us with Ephraim; He is filling His bow with a double portion. He is
filling the iris of the eye with a double portion of light and revelation in
this season and it is in preparation for release. It is the eye of the body that
aims at the target. The eyes of our heart are gates and we need to open up the
gates and let the King of Glory in.
Deu 32:9 For the Lord's portion
is His people; Jacob (Israel) is the lot of His inheritance. Deu 32:10 He found
him in a desert land, in the howling void of the wilderness; He kept circling
around him, He scanned him [penetratingly], He kept him as the pupil of His eye.
The pupil is the centre of the iris and it is also called the
apple of the eye; it is the part of the body that opens up and lets in light.
Are we good ‘pupils’ of the Spirit as He gives us light in this season? There
are three steps involved in the release of God’s corporate arrow: the bending of
Judah, the filling of the bow(iris) and the raising up of the sons of Zion. We
must allow ourselves to be bent by the hand of God in this season and open up
our gates to receive the double portion of light which God has allotted us – for
the sake of the whole body of Christ. If the eye is sound, the whole body
consequently is filled with light. The image which the eye receives causes
messages to be sent by the brain to the whole body so that it can respond
according to the light received. This is why it is of utter importance to yield
fully, to open up our spiritual eye gates, to hold our peace and just receive
the full image Heaven is imparting. How else will the ‘tent’ of David be
equipped to cross over at the right moment? Open up your gates so the King of
Glory’s light can come into you and you will be a vessel of honour fit to be
used in the house of David to give light on the earth; a vessel/tent who
participates in the corporate pouring out of the light of the Son of
Righteousness in the next season.
A bow has to be bent and strung and
rightly aligned in order to be useful. God needs His bow to be a faithful bow,
not a deceitful bow that sends arrows off-course; so we must get everything
straight in this morning watch. We must receive full understanding and get the
whole picture. We mustn’t step out when we ‘think’ we can see enough. The double
portion of light is not earthly light; it’s heavenly light. So don’t look to
earthly media channels to get your revelation. Remember Noah’s ark had a window
high up and the Hebrew word used for ‘window’ meant ‘double light’. Noah did not
look upon the destruction taking place around him in the earth. The only light
he received was from above. God is filling His bow, the eye of the Body with
double light while there is still darkness on the earth, IN ORDER to raise up
the sons of Zion against the sons of Greece.
Thinking of bows, a violin
bow releases a sound from within the instrument over its listeners. God’s violin
bow needs to be strung with the musical strings of the seven Spirits of God, in
order to release Heaven’s sound. The light waves from the seven Spirits enter
the iris (bow) and are converted to sound waves which are released from a
perfectly tuned vessel. Jesus was a perfectly tuned vessel. He only said what He
heard the Father saying and did what He saw Him doing. He was operating in the
light and sound of Heaven. A perfectly tuned vessel needs to be able to see and
hear clearly. Our spiritual eye and ear gates need to be fully open and yielded
to the Lord. Ear gates receive the sound of the Father’s voice. Eye gates
receive the light He is sending. Light and sound operate hand in hand. God spoke
in Genesis (released a sound) and then light manifested. We hear Him speak and
receive the light it brings and then we in turn release the same light in the
earthly realm.
The bending of Judah and the filling of the bow has to
fully take place – the prescribed tension and shape of the instrument
according to Heaven’s pattern and a completion of infilling, BEFORE the sons of
Zion can be raised up. When this 3 step process has been completed, then the
Lord will be seen over us (Zech 9:14). Zec 9:14 And the Lord shall be
seen over them and His arrow shall go forth as the lightning, and the Lord
God will blow the trumpet and will go forth in the windstorms of the south.
We don’t want to be seen, we want Him to be seen. Then His arrow
goes forth like lightening. We are His corporate arrow, released as a lightning
strike from His cloud of witnesses. Lightening is seen before it is heard.
Lightening comes forth suddenly from a cloud and strikes the earth and a sound
of thunder is released for all to hear. The God of Glory is going to thunder in
the earth through His arrow as it strikes the appointed target.
Verse 14
says He will blow His trumpet, His shofar. This is the thunder released by the
lightning strike of His arrow. We are His shofar releasing His sound in the
earth. The Hebrew word for ‘shofar’ means a ‘clear cutting sound’. He will sound
His shofar (v 14) to announce His arrival and go forth with windstorms of the
south. The south side is the right hand side when facing east. The sons of the
right hand will go forth as His whirlwinds carrying the manifest presence of the
King of Glory. He makes His angels (‘messengers’ in Hebrew) winds, His
messengers flames of fire. When lightning strikes, it often sets dry grass
ablaze! The chaff will be set ablaze by His arrow striking.
As Joel 2
says, The Lord will utter His voice before His army. His voice is wanting to
accomplish something within His army before He releases His army. We have to let
the light and sound have its full work before He raises us up. WE must allow the
sound He is releasing through His voice to be totally absorbed by our earthen
vessel at this time in order to be transformed inwardly. Psalm 29 describes the
release of the voice of the Lord, shaking the wilderness of Kadesh, which means
‘holiness’. WE are those who are experiencing the release of the voice of God
within us at this time. Let our own voice be silent, until His voice has done
its full transforming work.
Psa 29:2 Give to the Lord the glory due
to His name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness or in holy array. Psa
29:3 The voice of the Lord is upon the waters; the God of glory thunders; the
Lord is upon many (great) waters. Psa 29:4 The voice of the Lord is powerful;
the voice of the Lord is full of majesty. Psa 29:5 The voice of the Lord breaks
the cedars; yes, the Lord breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon. Psa 29:6 He
makes them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion (Mount Hermon) like a
young, wild ox. Psa 29:7 The voice of the Lord splits and flashes forth forked
lightning. Psa 29:8 The voice of the Lord makes the wilderness tremble; the
Lord shakes the Wilderness of Kadesh. Psa 29:9 The voice of the Lord makes the
hinds bring forth their young, and His voice strips bare the forests, while in
His temple everyone is saying, Glory!
His voice is powerful and
full of majesty washing over our hearts. He is thundering over many waters; many
earthen vessels. Sit and receive the full download. He is using the sound of His
voice to straighten and polish His arrow. Yield to His bending. Worship Him in
holy array. Remember psalm 110 says: Psa 110:3 Your people will offer
themselves willingly in the day of Your power, in the beauty of holiness and
in holy array out of the womb of the morning; to You [will spring forth]
Your young men, who are as the dew.
The voice of the Lord also
breaks the cedars (ps 29). The word for ‘break’ means ‘to bring to the birth’.
His voice is bringing the cedars of Lebanon to birth at this time - through wave
upon wave (birthpangs) of Heavenly sound. He makes these very cedars skip like a
calf. Here we see the calves released from the stall as Malachi 4 describes,
because the Son of Righteousness is arising with healing in His wings – healing
light. The voice of the Lord is sending forth lightning bolts of revelation
truth in your earthen vessel. Receive the whole 6 measures in your
mantle.
We see the pattern of silence before the shattering of the enemy
camp in the story of Jericho. Do you remember they had to march round for 6 days
in silence, with only the sound of the shofars blowing. On the 7th
day, they released a corporate sound together with the sound of the shofars and
this brought the walls of the stronghold down. For 6 days, the sound of the
shofar resounded over God’s marching silent army – like Ruth receiving the full
6 measures of grain in her mantle. By the end of those 6 days, they had become
conformed and aligned to the clear cutting sound of the shofar and a double
portion of sound was released on the 7th day, taking the enemy by
surprise and releasing the bride-to-be from the stronghold, bringing
victory.
I have a sense that we are like those soldiers marching
silently in revolutions round the stronghold we know needs to come down, as the
sound of Heaven is released over and within us. Be filled with the fullness of
that sound and the understanding and light it releases, so that when it is time
to release a sound from your earthen vessel, the voice of God reverberating from
us causes the strongholds to come down everywhere where His arrows are! The
enemy may be thundering behind you and trying to provoke an urgent response,
like the army of Pharaoh behind God’s people at the Red Sea, but take the advice
of Moses :This enemy you see before you, you will never see again. Hold your
peace, remain at rest and the Lord will fight for you! (Exod 14:14). So stay
quiet, stay hidden, open your gates wide for the King of Glory to come in. The
spirit of Saul is out to kill the sons of David; just as Herod wanted to kill
the infant Jesus and the dragon waits to devour the manchild in Rev 12 – so be
wise like David, be quiet and stay hidden in the shadow of His hand. Concentrate
on the grain pouring into your mantle. His hand will release you at the
appointed time.
I want to end with an amazing story I heard recently. I
recently met a woman, Vicky, who had a son and then five miscarriages and
finally a daughter, Charis was born. The amazing thing is that she was born fast
asleep! She came forth so silently that the midwife thought she was stillborn!
There were 7 pregnancies altogether, signifying fullness of fruit of the womb.
And I wanted to say to you, you may have received the manifestation of the
firstfruits of the gifts of Son of Righteousness in your life but this has been
followed by 5 seasons of miscarriage of justice. But now, in the fullness of
times, God wants to bring forth the fullness of grace and favour in and through
your life. Charis means grace and favour. Just as that little girl was born
fully at rest, fully surrendered and totally silent, so too we need to be
brought forth from the womb of preparation quietly, in order to escape the
dragon waiting to devour what God is bringing forth. Come forth silently so the
enemy cannot pick up your hiding place. Little Charis slept for 2 hours on her
mother’s chest before waking and feeding. No-one outside that room even knew a
baby had been born because nothing was heard. No-one in Bethlehem knew Jesus had
been born. He came forth quietly in a humble place while the whole House of
Bread was busy with the things of this world. Only when God sent directions to
the shepherds, did news begin to travel to a select few. And Herod only found
out 2 years later! Let Heaven announce your arrival in the time and way it
chooses. Therein is your protection.
Be filled and hold within your
earthen vessel the fullness of the light and revelation God is pouring in. I
know at times, you feel like bursting with the wonder of all He is showing you
in Christ, but hold, hold, hold it safe within you until the moment of release,
until the raising up and release of the windstorms of the south. Be reined in by
the Holy Spirit. Proverbs says ‘wisdom rests silently in the heart of him who
has understanding’. Let God position you and set you in place. Let God make you
a complete and perfectly clear living letter at this time so the sound coming
forth from you can go out into all the earth. Don’t listen to soulish urgings of
the prophets of Baal who tell you to rise and step out now, for you will find
yourself in the enemy’s crosshairs. Wait and hide and hold your peace. Be still
and know that He is God. Selah
