Open Our Eyes Lord by Elaine Tavolacci

The Holy Spirit gave me this word from 2 Kings Chapter 6. When the king of Syria was planning to attack Israel, Elisha sent a warning to him because as a true prophet, Elisha knew the plans of the enemy. The king of Syria called his officers together and asked them if they were revealing his secrets and strategies to Elisha. One of the officers replied: No but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the very words you speak in your bedroom." The king of Syria then wanted to capture Elisha and he sent horses and chariots and strong forces against him. They went by night and surrounded the city. Elisha's servant was terrified and he asked Elisha, What will we do now? Elisha responded: "Don't be afraid," "Those who are with us are more than those who are with them." And Elisha prayed, "Open his eyes Lord, so that he may see." Then the Lord opened the servant's eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. He now saw the spiritual armies of protection around the prophet Elisha.

Some of you may be looking at situations in your lives which seem impossible to change in the natural. You may be going through a financial crisis, or a serious illness. The armies that are rising up against you seem overwhelming, but the Lord says "There are more with you than against you". Jesus is going to open your eyes to see the hosts of heaven that are so much greater than the armies of the adversary. Many of you are looking at the conditions of the nation and it appears as if the kingdom of darkness is gaining ground. Fear not. The silver and the gold are mine says the Lord. The earth is Mine and everything in it, and all who dwell within. I founded it on the seas and established it on the waters. As you ask Me for wisdom and to open your eyes, I will open the eyes of your understanding to recognize my protection and My direction for your life says the Lord.

Psalm 27:3 Though an army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, yet I will be confident.

Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord God does nothing, unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.

2 Kings 6:16-17 So he answered, "Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them." And Elisha prayed, and said, "Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see." Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
